For 2013, Breitling has released a very attractive blue version of the already rather rare Navitimer 1461 model. An interesting item, we take a hands-on look at this stunning piece.

A look at the Breitling SuperOcean Heritage Chrono after six months of ownership. Does it still have its original charm?
When you think of watches associated with space (and space programs), it probably calls to mind the Omega Speedmaster, or perhaps the Poljot Strela. Did you know that Breitling also has a watch associated with the great space race of the mid-20th century? It did, and Breitling is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the watch’s flight into space with the Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute Blacksteel.
Breitling has released a brand new version (available now) of the legendary Aerospace watch for 2013 called the Aerospace Evo. Breitling original released the Aerospace in 1985 under the Navitimer collection to be a high-end quartz watch that contained an ETA-made analog-digital movement called the SuperQuartz.
Breitling has expanded their Transocean Chrono line with the introduction of a GMT version into the range. The new Breitling Transocean Chronograph GMT makes for a practical and no-nonsense addition to this range of vintage inspired pilot’s watches.
For 2013, Breitling has released an updated and improved version of their famous Emergency watch designed to be used in situations where you might need to be rescued. The Emergency II represents a unique evolution in miniaturizing emergency beacon frequency technology in what is otherwise a stately-sized timepiece.
If you were an owner of the original Breitling Emergency watch, then you’re probably the sort of person that engages in dangerous activities that leave you with a higher than normal chance of being stranded in the middle of nowhere. For the people that need this watch, and perhaps for others who live a normal lifestyle but are a little paranoid of “what if” scenarios, Breitling has just come up with the Emergency II.
I’ve lost count of the number of sizes and variations Breitling has released in the Superocean Heritage collection. The great looking diver range remains one of my favorites in the Breitling line-up, but there are so many versions I have a feeling the top brass at Breitling can’t even name them all.
From commercial to military and all of the enthusiasts in-between, Breitling has spent many years cultivating a close and valuable relationship with the world of aviation. Earning a reputation like Breitling’s requires a hands-on approach to connect the Breitling name with aviation outfits all over the world. It is with this in mind that Breitling recently announced a special edition of their Chronomat 44 to commemorate their partnership with the Frecce Tricolori (the Tricolor Arrows).
The newest in-house movement from the house of Breitling for 2012 is the caliber 05. It builds on the original caliber 01 by adding a handy world time ring to the dial. The movement debuts in the good looking Transocean Unitime watch, which will now be promoted by new Breitling brand ambassador David Beckham. I go hands-on with the watch to tell you what it is all about.
The Breitling Chronomat 44 GMT was not a timepiece I immediately sat down and wrote a review on – as is often the case with the watches I review. I mean, with at least one hands-on watch review a week, I don’t exactly have a lot of time on aBlogtoWatch to delay these things.
While I am generally a big fan of Breitling watches, I don’t personally like a lot of the Breitling for Bentley timepieces. These have a distinct design ethos apart from the rest of the Breitling range.
The Breitling Navitimer 01 is the first Navitimer with the new in-house Breitling B01 movement. The Navitimer is maybe one of a handful of original classic aviator watch designs and Breitling can claim that it’s the only wristwatch chronograph in continuous production for more than 50 years. With the B01 movement, Breitling has recently extended the guarantee of the Navitimer 01 to five years from the typical industry standard of two years.
An exclusive partnership between Breitling and Govberg Jewelers offers this Chronomat 44 Special Edition timepiece, as a series of 50 limited edition pieces. The 44mm case is brushed steel with a high polished finish and a sapphire crystal exhibition caseback displaying its Breitling Caliber 01 movement. Basically the Chronomat 44 you know and love, but with a different set of dial colors.
This is an exclusive first look at a new Breitling limited edition version of the Avenger Seawolf dive-style watch called the Avenger Seawolf Code Yellow.
One of the major timepiece archetypes is the pilot (or aviation) watch. There are numerous brands with products that fit this category, a segment which is attractive to anyone with a fetish for flight or planes.
