As an Internet-only brand, Christopher Ward is a good indicator of market trends. They’ve had “hundreds of requests” for a reduced size version of their C60 Trident model, and are now adding 38mm versions of the Trident.

There’s a lot of overlap between watch folks and Aston Martin fans. I’m an amateur with cars, but even I’ve seen enough of the Bond franchise to appreciate a vintage Aston Martin. This car is a DBR1/2 that won LeMans in 1959. This is the only time that Aston Martin won that race, so this car is a very big deal indeed, and sold for a staggering 20 million UKP recently. Christopher Ward paid a chunk of change for this piece of the car.
With Valentine’s Day coming up it is good for us to have a few decent watch options to buy for those watch loving ladies in our lives. If you don’t have any of those around you certainly haven’t been spreading your enthusiasm for timepieces effectively
This is the Christopher Ward C900SWKR, and it’s a new high-water mark for a company I’ve long liked. Let me tell you about it, because it’s an unusually good story.
British retailer Christopher Ward has been on a roll of late. They have announced a series of interesting watches like their first COSC certified watch the C50 Malvern, and the innovative and quite exclusive C9 Jumping Hour. Adding to their growing list of noteworthy watches, Christopher Ward has just announced a pre-order for their newest limited edition, the C900 Single Pusher Chronograph. Exhibiting a reserved and very elegant design, this new chronograph from Christopher Ward is just as cool inside as it is out. Sporting a movement modified by one Johannes Jahnke, the C900 uses a ETA/Unitas 6497 movement modified to feature a monopusher chronograph complication. A monopusher (or single pusher) allows the chronograph to be activated, paused and reset from a single button, which on the c900 is cleverly built into the crown.
Omega wants us to remember that the James Bond films are 50 years old in 2012. Rolex is the historic watch on 007′s wrist, and when it comes down to it, every man wants a watch with an included laser cutter and grappling hook. As a bit of an homage to the classic “James Bond” Rolex […]
I’ve been a fan of Christopher Ward for a long time. They were one of the first high-value brands I discovered, and a wonderful introduction to fine watches. It has been a pleasure to watch their style develop and evolve, which is to say that I had a lot of anticipation going when I opened […]
Christopher Ward really does release a lot of new timepieces each year. A few of them are real winners in my opinion. One of those which is interesting is this new C9 Harrison Jumping Hour watch, which is actually the most expensive watch Christopher Ward has every offered at $1,585. Not for everyone, this is […]
If you need a quick pilot watch fix and don’t want to shell out four digit amounts on an IWC or something like that, then Christopher Ward’s C8 Pilot collection is a good option. Their newest version offers that slick vintage look with a tan strap and tan lume that seems to go equally well […]
For me, one of the most hotly anticipated Christopher Ward watches of this year was the C60 Trident and its brother the C60 Trident GMT. Priced well, this family of watches offered a rich classic style, Swiss automatic movement, and intriguing range of styles…
Congrats to Kalin who was the lucky winner of the February Christopher Ward C60 Trident GMT watch giveaway. Love the picture of it on his wrist with aBlogtoRead.com in the background on his computer screen. Looking good!
Just a few more days left. Take a moment and enter here for a chance to win this lovely Christopher Ward C60 Trident GMT watch. You have until the end of February to enter. Good luck!
I am pretty jealous of who ever will be the winner of this month’s giveaway. I have here a Christopher Ward C60 Trident GMT watch for your winning pleasure. The C60 Trident was released in late 2010 and came in a range of flavors. The inspiration behind the C60 Trident collection is the widely beloved […]
This is the Christopher Ward C20 Lido (Ref. C20SST). A tribute to the 1960s watch designs of IWC and others, to me it bears a likeness to the IWC Ingenieur, especially the bezel and lugs: Which is fine with me. I’ve long admired the Ingenieur, but the price is an obstacle, and I actually dislike […]
Let me first say that I didn’t expect to like this watch as much as I do. What won me over in the end was its incredible happiness to be a wrist companion. Always being easy to read, nice to touch, and comfortable to wear…
Today [WatchReport.com is] reviewing a watch that I like a great deal: the Christopher Ward C8 Pilot, model number C8SKK. It’s a mechanical watch in the style of pilot’s watches from decades ago, updated using modern materials and the ETA 2824-2 mechanical movement. Let’s start with the specs: 44mm by 9.7mm, 140g. 22mm leather strap, […]
