Citizen’s newest Aqualand model takes a familiar movement and concept and dresses it up in an even nicer suit. That means a fresh and upgraded skin for an existing movement. This is one of the Eco-Drive Promaster collection’s most useful timepieces, incorporating (among other features) a chronograph and depth meter into a dive watch…

This is Citizen’s first watch that combines solar power with radio-set capability in a women’s watch…
This is the Blue Angels World Time Chronograph, reference AT8020-03L. Eco-Drive (solar power), sapphire crystal, radio-set, 60-minute chronograph, perpetual calendar, day/date, power reserve plus quick-change support for 26 time zones…
Just in time for heading to the beach for the summer, Citizen has released a new Eco-Drive model in their Scuba Fin Lineup.
For 2013 Citizen watches remakes the famed Altichron that originally showed its face (no pun intended) in 1989. A mere comparison of the 2013 versus 1989 model shows just how far Japanese watch brands as well as the overall timepiece industry has come. 24 years after its original debut the new Altichron has some new tricks for sure, but looks much more visually stunning. The tool part of the watch has become amazingly much more showy.
Hands-on look at the 2013 Citizen Satellite Wave-Air GPS syncing watch with Eco-Drive technology.
Say hello to the interesting Eco-Drive Proximity watch from Citizen. It is a watch that does a lot right, some things wrong, but is overall an important stepping stone in the future of the contemporary timepiece. I’ve said it many times and I will continue to say it until it is a reality, but the future of the mass-market wrist watch is in connectivity.
The new Citizen Eco-Drive Proximity Bluetooth watch is now for sale and available at AZ Fine Time. To honor its new release, we will be hosting an event at our retail store in Scottsdale.
Today’s Citizen watches are products that most people associate with light. This is thanks to the Japanese brand’s extremely successful Eco-Drive family of movements.
At first glance this upcoming watch from Citizen is modern and cool, but it barely suggests its core appeal as a timepiece with Bluetooth connectivity. Look closely on the dial and you’ll find the Bluetooth logo to suggest it may do something else.
Citizen has announced a special edition watch made to commemorate their 20th year as the official timekeeper for the US Open tennis tournament. The US Open has been around, in one fashion or another, since 1881 and is currently held at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York. Being that the US Open is a staple […]
It is watches like this that cause many people to totally overlook mechanical timepieces altogether…
Watches for women aren’t discussed enough here on aBlogtoRead.com. That is probably due in part to the fact that I don’t frequently wear women’s watches (but hey, I try to my keep options open!). Nevertheless, I have bought many a watch for women and advised others on the topic. Based on my experiences, this is […]
Much to the chagrin of Casio and Seiko, one of the most talked about and anticipated Japanese watches of 2011 was this limited edition Eco-Drive Satellite watch from Citizen. Upped to being a limited edition of 990 pieces, this rather pricey timepiece dazzles with design and technology. The future is all about the East while […]
For 2011 Citizen’s major new piece is perfect for the American market. If you want to check out their other cool stuff you’ll need to take a little trip over the Japan (which would be nice… go support them). Part of their newer Signature collection, this is the simply named Citizen Signature Perpetual Calendar, and […]
Atomic clock radio signal syncing watches are so last year. Citizen just decimated the coolness factor of those watches with the Satellite Eco-Drive watch. This timepiece isn’t just a concept, but will actually be produced as a limited edition later this year – and may have its tech show up in later watches. In a […]
