I feel excited writing this review because in my opinion this Porsche Design Flat Six P’6310 is a fantastic watch. I just love it and find myself wearing it for perhaps all the right reasons. Now, a bit of background and disclaimers so that you know what this timepiece is all about and aren’t confused if you are trying to look for it. What you see is (at the time of writing) the previous generation Flat Six Automatic watch model.

Porsche Design completes what I believe is a trilogy of “Heritage” watches celebrating the brand’s history by recreating in a modern skin some of the brand’s most iconic pieces. For 2012 it is the P’6540 that gets a new limited edition piece. Previous years saw the limited edition Porsche Design P’6520 and P’6530 watches. The […]
Porsche Design is one of my favorite watch brands. Yes, that list might be long, but there is a good reason for these guys to be on it…
While I have been giving Porsche Design a lot of positive attention for their retro-themed releases lately, this is a new model that is modern looking all around. Part of the P’6000 Dashboard collection this model is the P’6620 Dashboard Chronograph and comes in a slew of colors and styles. In a sense, this design […]
Porsche Design started a retro-refresh like most other brands last year as they get close to a major brand anniversary next year. On the one hand I could just dismiss what they are doing with the retro-revival as just playing along with “follow the leader,” but that isn’t totally the case for Porsche Design. First […]
The recent designers of this Porsche Design P’6930 watch are quite lucky. Lucky in that they more or less didn’t have to do to much to make this timepiece look good…
While it has nothing to do with the actual theme of the watch, when I first laid eyes on this new limited edition Porsche Design P’6612 Dashboard Le Mans 1970 timepiece, I thought of something a bit kinky. You know, those lace-up on the sides leather pants, corsets, and other lingerie/bondage outfits? You know, because […]
The ongoing stream of retro watch re-releases continues. The culprit this time is Eterna – the brand who makes all the Porsche Design watches (these days). Back with a vengeance, this watch is really suited to driving around in your DMC DeLorean. Now there is a item begging for a proper release! I heard that […]
When I visited the Porsche Design booth at Baselworld 2010 I was pretty amused to see the new P’6780 Diver watch cause it looked pretty familiar. In fact, just a few years ago Eterna released a watch that was almost identical, called the Eterna KonTiki Diver. I really loved about that piece and wrote about […]
Regular readers of mine know that I get a kick out of spotting watches in TV shows and movies. A regular viewer of Lost, I have always been curious to know what watch was being worn by Matthew Fox’s character Jack Shephard. Of course, while on the island he does not wear a watch, but […]
One of the coolest watches of the last few years didn’t see its proper level of greatness because it was too expensive. At over $100,000 (retailed at about 78,000 euros) the Porsche Design Indicator remained a beautiful and fundamentally superior design that you could only appreciate from a distance. Eterna, who makes all the watches […]
Impressive watch giant IWC and Porsche Design used to get together for watch making fun. IWC manufactured the watches, and Porsche Design, well, designed them. Now IWC has enough watches in its line (not that is was ever a thin line), and Eterna takes charge of making Porsche Designs’ watches…
