I do like the exposed movements on a mechanical wrist watch. It remnids people of the art behind watch making.

i think such a watch is a piece of art and the exposed mechanical movement is fit to unveil it.

I love to watch the moving mechanical parts in an open skeletal watch.

I prefer not to see the mechanical movements on dials i.e. skeleton unless it is a significant speciality of the watch e.g. tourbillon movement because it distracts from the flow of the sweeping hand and hence the movement of time

I am a fan for some watches as long as it doesn't get in the way of the functionality.

Skeleton watches are always classy. They look alot better in real life than they do in photographs, and I would love to own one.

I have always liked exposed movements for the longest time. One of the first watches and still my favorite from my collection, is a Swatch Irony Body and Soul on leather strap. I used to spend minutes just watching the scapement and taking a loupe to it to see the ETA markings and the spring releasing. I look forward to eventually seeing the Breil in person, see its movement and include it in my collection. Cheers to all.

I like seeing how mechanical work...from the back.  Skeleton watches can work if the hands are in contrast with the movement, but this seems to be overlooked with many designs.

I really like to see the movement, the Orchestra does a good job balancing legibility with the exposed movement.

I love seeing the mechanics of the watch.  So much technology gets put into these watches, I think it is a shame for it to be hidden away!

I have two watched by Kenneth Cole with the cool skeletonized mechanical movement. They are the two most complemented watched I own. Not even my Victorinox Swiss Army gets noticed like my two skeletonized ones.

Love the skelotonized / exposed mechanical movements - at minimum I like the display back on automatics or mechanicals is they have a very good looking face. I especially like decorated movements. This piece is especially nice as it combines a stylish look on the face with legible numbers and the exposed movement.

The watch looks gorgeous and I love exposed mechanical movement mechanics on watch dials! This watch would immediately become my day to day watch.

A watch with a exposed movement can be a disaster or a masterpiece. The Breil Orchestra is masterpiece of a watch. I don't have a open movement watch and would be great in my collection.

Skeleton dials are for true watch levers who enjoy the engineering behind the movement.  Some of my favorites come from Richard Mille.  Too bad i cannot afford one!

Skeleton watches give a trendy edge to watches when they are done rightly. They shouldnt be too flashy, ideally..

Skeletonized watches are the way to go. I really like the look especially when it's done all the way through such as this watch!

I am a big fan of skeletonized watches. I like a little bit more of a classic look, the font for the numbers is a little too modern for me; but I like the leather strap and the accent color.

I'm a big fan of the skeletonized watches. I like more of a classic look myself but I like the leather strap and the detailing of this watch.

I am just starting my watch collection, started by getting my GF interested. That led to a great Bulova for my birthday! I have since started looking at the skeletonized and really like them. The review on the Breil Orchestra TW1020 got me started. My only concern with some is how difficult the face can be to read. Breil seems to get that and does a good job making them visable.

So much time and effort goes into making a quality watch movement and I certainly enjoy some watches exposing this to the wearer.  When done well I think the affect is interesting and aesthetically pleasing.

Exposed mechanical movements are wonderful - when done right. I've seen a few watches go a bit wrong on this front by putting too much on the dial face - getting in the way of the beauty of the movement. This Breil isa very nice example - clean and simple. Not too much to take away from the dial...well done!

I love exposed mechanical movements, however it seems that some watch makers forget that as much as we love to look at the inner beauty of a movement, we also need to tell the time. The hour hands on many brands get lost in the backdrop like Waldo which requires you to search for it amongst all that mechanical goodness. Still better than quartz ;-)

There is something very beautiful about the exposed movement of a mechanical watch.  Could anyone but the Italans design one with such a legible dial on a skeletonizied timepiece, I wonder?  It has a look that wants to be worn!
