In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Parmigiani Fleurier, the exhibition will feature many watches and 25 in-house movements that demonstrate the most important technical and horological advances, out of a total of 33 movements developed from the start, achieved by Parmigiani Fleurier and its founder Michel Parmigiani over the last 20 years.

Michel Parmigiani began Parmigiani Fleurier with support from the Sandoz family in 1996 after years of working in watchmaking and restoration. His passion for timepiece restoration remains an integral part of the brand DNA to this day, as he mixes traditional horological technique with contemporary innovations in both design and manufacturing. With a restoration workshop as a constant reminder of its origins, Parmigiani is proud to share milestones from the past 20 years of its history at the exhibit which will be exclusive to the Miami Design District Parmigiani Fleurier boutique shop. In this article, you can see a selection of the many mechanical wonders which will be on display in the boutique showroom from November 17th until December 31st.

Above is the Parmigiani Tonda Chronor Anniversaire which is one of the newest masterpieces of the horological arts. Released in January of 2016, it features Parmigiani’s first fully integrated chronograph movement. Michel Parmigiani began developing this piece since the inception of the brand in 1996, and it holds a special place in his heart as the culmination of efforts that result in a timepiece only a select few high-end Swiss manufactures can fathom to produce.

Another piece that will will be on display at the Miami exhibit is the Parmigiani Bugatti 370, which was initially inspired by the engine from the Bugatti Veyron supercar. The watch features a tubular movement with a lateral time display, displaying the time horizontally to the wearer. The Calibre PF370 movement was the first “transverse” movement ever built and stands as a lasting testament to the ability and creativity of the Parmigiani manufacture, as well as its important partnership with the Bugatti motor company.

One additional timepiece highlight is the Parmigiani Kalpa Hebdomadaire watch. This is the very first watch released by Parmigiani some 20 years ago. Its distinctive tonneau-shaped case echoes the hallmark movement structure which shares the same tonneau-shaped design. As a testament to this forward-thinking design, the 2016 Kalpa Hebdomadaire Anniversaire honors this very first timepiece from Parmigiani. With a solid gold movement, the watch is a testament to the passion and enduring craftsmanship of Michel Parmigiani. Mr. Parmigiani along with the rest of his company personally invite you to be inspired by a microcosm of mechanical creations at the “20 Years of Achievements” exhibit.
