Rodeo Drive Festival Of Watches In Beverly Hills October 10-13, 2013

Rodeo Drive Festival Of Watches In Beverly Hills October 10-13, 2013 Shows & Events

October 10-13, 2013 is the inaugural “Festival of Watches” event in Beverly Hills, California. Los Angeles has sorely needed a decent watch event and this is a good start. The Rodeo Drive Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with a range of watch boutiques will have some special events, open store hours, and watches during the festival period. The real night to enjoy the event however is October 10th starting in the late afternoon from about 6-9pm. Many of the boutiques will have special “open houses” that include everything from an exhibition of special timepieces, watchmakers, gifts, and probably a decent helping of complimentary drinks.

The map above shows each of the boutiques that will be participating in the Festival of Watches. Stores include Westime, Porsche Design, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, Patek Philippe, The Tourbillon Store, Montblanc, Hublot, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and more. Even though the event will go from October 10-13, the 10th is probably the only evening with extended store hours. The retailers are close enough together to do a simple walking tour of them all.

aBlogtoWatch will be there on the evening of October 10th surveying the stores and taking some pictures. You can follow along (or participate) with #rodeowatchfestival (a hash tag we just came up with as event people don’t have one designated). So if you are in the Los Angeles area come on down and check it out next week.

It’s funny we have every watch boutique btwn OC and LA, but I rarely see anyone wearing anything other than a Rolex or Cartier here in the OC unless their visiting! Funny thing prices at boutiques here are so high and firm people on many watch forums have said you go to them only to browse, but buy elsewhere. They are just put in places like Rodeo Drive and South Coast mall to build up brand allure 😉 That said if I’m off I’ll prob drive down to Rodeo and checkout the festival. I’ve been looking to buy a new Breguet maybe the boutique or Tourbillon will be willing to deal….

Good luck….both with browsing, buying and parking.
Unfortunately this event is 10 yrs to late for me. Left HB in the OC in ’04…(no, I am not a rapper, though I did live close to the SB and occasionally cruised the LB)
