Halda Race Pilot Watch Zenith Mechanical & Digital Movement

Swedish boutique watch brand Halda releases their second watch with the Race Pilot. Their first watch was the Halda Space Discovery, that was pricey, but interesting with its module system. The idea is that the watch case itself can be removed and you can include a digital device or a standard mechanical watch.

IWC Three-Hand Ingenieur Sport Watches For 2013

Perhaps IWC’s new 40mm wide Ingenieur dress watch was the most talked about new Ingenieur piece for 2013, but for those who like larger sport watches these more simple-dialed Ingenieur pieces will fit the bill. Whether it is a phase or just because I like loud watches, I fully appreciate smaller dress watches, but simply have so little time in my life to wear them.

Tag Heuer Monaco Grand Prix Watches

The Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix is one of the most famous and prestigious races in the F1 calendar. Even those who have never followed motorsports have heard of Monaco (maybe because of Tag Heuer), a highly technical course which winds through the roadways of the famed city-state and playground for the rich and [...]

Tag Heuer Carrera Ring-Master Limited Edition Watches

Japan is one of the best places to buy a Tag Heuer timepiece. Not only do Japanese people think Tag Heuer watches kick-ass, but Tag Heuer is constantly releasing special limited edition watches exclusively for the Japanese market. The weird part is that many of them would do totally well outside of the Japanese market. [...]

Hublot F1 King Power Suzuka Watch

Since the Hublot F1 King Power as a watch is not new I will not going into detail about the technicalities. This is a new limited edition of 250 pieces (like all of them) for Japan’s Suzuka race track released recently at 2011 Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix. It has a cool skeletonized dial and [...]

Hublot King Power F1 Tourbillon Hands-On

I am not always sure what Jean-Claude Biver is thinking. The machine-gun minded Swiss CEO covers so many bases when deciding what new Hublot watches are made that it can be almost impossible to predict what will come next. However, I do know one thing: Mr. Biver is watch lover. It might sound ironic, or [...]

Tag Heuer Formula 1 Analog/Digital CAC111D Watch

Released a few years ago I believe, this cool looking Tag Heuer really flew under the radar for me. Some people are immediately going to dismiss it because it has an analog and digital face, but that has a lot of the appeal for me. Ever since the Omega X-33 became a cult hit, watches [...]

Hublot King Power Ayrton Senna Limited Edition Watches

In 1994 a terrible accident during an F1 race in Italy caused Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna to die. I believe that he was the last person to die during a Formula 1 race, and has been a testament to the needs of caution and safety in the work of super-fast racing circuits. Since his death, [...]

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Jarno Trulli Limited Edition Watch

A new Formula 1 driver based watch from Audemars Piguet is this new Royal Oak Offshore Jarno Trulli. Boy, it sure is nice, but looks very little like where these watches looked as though they have been evolving. It is possible that ending with the AP ROO Grand Prix, designer Octavio Garcia felt that the [...]

LUM-TEC Combat F1 Concept Watch

The upmarket-ification of “America’s son” watchmaker LUM-TEC may continue in full force. Some of you have expressed sadness that the brand is producing many timepieces outside of their original pricing a few years ago. It is true that the mean price for LUM-TEC watches is going up. It also true that LUM-TEC quality and watch [...]
