For 2013, the aBlogtoWatch watch gift guide will take the form of an editor’s and contributor’s wish list. Some of the editorial team has gone ahead and chosen a few of the timepieces from last year that are really high on their list. These are mostly newer watches, but ones that should be available for purchase now. So for this holiday season you’ll get a good idea of what we’ve personally wanted, and we didn’t include crazy stuff that no one can get, even if they could afford it.

Earlier this year, we brought you word of a new model from Linde Werdelin, the Oktopus II Moon. Today, we’ve got word of a new version of that rather interesting watch, and it’s quite a fun twist, one that I’m partial to and that being engraving.
Linde Werdelin has announced two new limited edition models for their Spidolite II series of luxury sport watches. The new LW SpidoLite II Tech features two variations of a watch that takes the recognizable SpidoLite II platform and moves it into the next generation as far as case construction and materials are concerned.
For months now I found myself putting the Linde Werdelin Oktopus II Titanium Yellow Double Date watch on my wrist more times than I would have first anticipated. With its avocado green strap and bold sporty looks, I always liked the watch but guessed that it would settle in to be more of a ‘once-in-a-while’ piece.
Linde Werdelin must have been working overtime through the holidays as they have announced a new two version run of the Oktopus II Moon. Three years ago, LW launched the Oktopus Moonphase and these new models build upon the same platform but will be limited to just 59 units.
Linde Werdelin has announced three new entries into the SpidoLite II family of limited edition sport watches. The new SpidoLite II Titanium releases include Red, Blue or Black Gold versions which offer you a choice of either bright colors or a modern take on the two-tone aesthetic.
We get asked for advice on buying watches all year long but we can’t answer everyone. If you still aren’t sure what watches should be on your shopping list this holiday season, let’s see what the aBlogtoWatch writing team has to say.
The good thing about London (well there has to be something to make up for rain in the summer and 20% VAT) is that it’s a buzzing city and quite often when you ask someone to visit they more than likely say yes.
Linde Werdelin releases a bejeweled watch for men. I first noticed it on the wrist of Jorn Werdelin at this year’s Baselworld watch show.
Linde Werdelin likes to call themselves a watch lab. The notion suggests an image of scientists sitting around in a white room dreaming up the next cool timepiece. Is this sexy sounding concept true? Yes actually, but Linde Werdelin is not alone in their experimentation. Most small brands have lab style product development processes which […]
Linde Werdelin is a brand with a very focused energy. Their watches are technical, masculine, and all exhibit their unique perspective on modern watch design…
I’ve seen where Linde Werdelin has come from and I see where it is going. Quickly adapting to the market the small brand is a unique example of both flexibility and independence in an industry where such concepts are not as common as they might seem. Their major timepiece launch for 2012 is the Oktopus […]
Linde Werdelin put a lot of time and effort into the release of their first chronograph model. I am pretty sure that the team spend a lot of time discussing the right movement, dial design, and other features of their new chronograph timepiece. Why so much effort? Whether you believe it or not chronograph models […]
Linde Werdelin follows up its brand defining SpidoLite watch with the new SpidoLite II. The original model was interesting for taking the brand’s Biformeter case and skeletonizing it. Skeletonized dials aren’t particularly rare, but skeletonized cases are much less common – especially in the way that Linde Werdelin does it. The original SpidoLite was designed […]
We present you with an exclusive interview with Jorn Werdelin, co-founder of the sporty and creative watch brand Linde Werderlin. Topics include how one decides that starting a watch brand is a good idea, how to compete as a small but innovative brand, and where Linde Werdelin gets their ideas. Listen to the HourTime Show […]
Right now, we’re in a golden age for dive watches. Companies such as Giovino, Palladium and others have made it possible to start your own company with as few as 400 watches, and the Internet has enabled the global reach that lets a niche company flourish. There are many out there, but for this post […]
