Breitling Superocean Heritage Red Gold Watches Hands-On

I’ve lost count of the number of sizes and variations Breitling has released in the Superocean Heritage collection. The great looking diver range remains one of my favorites in the Breitling line-up, but there are so many versions I have a feeling the top brass at Breitling can’t even name them all.

Seiko Ananta Urushi Watches

Now these watches are a bit more of what I think of when someone says to me “urushi painted dial.” As a follow-up to the Ananta Urushi Diver from last year, Seiko has released two new urushi watches for 2012. This time they remedied one of the principle issues of last year’s limited edition urushi watch. See those red stripes on the Ananta Limited Edition Kumadori Chronograph dial?

MARCH LA.B AM2 Watch Review

Originally MARCH LA.B offered to have me review the black version of the AM2 watch. I politely said “thanks, but isn’t the entire idea of this retro inspired piece to be about the looks and colors of the era?” So I opted for the burgundy version…

Ladoire RGT “Origin Of The Sun” Piece Unique Watch

As an homage to Japan and to raise some charity money, Ladoire has produced this piece unique version of their Roller Guardian Time (RGT) watch. They call it the “Origin of the Sun,” and it really is one big fanboy nod from Lionel Ladoire to Japanese Culture. The Roller Guardian Time is a very unique [...]

Omega Speedmaster Racing Watches Hands-On

It did not surprise me that Omega had one of the strongest collections of new watches for 2012. While most of my attention was on the new Spacemaster Z-33, the Speedmaster family had some line extensions that were really satisfying. The ones that stole the show are the newest Speedmaster Racing models. These are not [...]

Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso 1931 Rouge Watch

Now isn’t that pretty?  This is a special Milan Boutique edition of the newer Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra-Thin watch. The version with the limited “heritage” dial that is. Tag Heuer Carrera Ring-Master Limited Edition Watches

Japan is one of the best places to buy a Tag Heuer timepiece. Not only do Japanese people think Tag Heuer watches kick-ass, but Tag Heuer is constantly releasing special limited edition watches exclusively for the Japanese market. The weird part is that many of them would do totally well outside of the Japanese market. [...]

Hublot F1 King Power Suzuka Watch

Since the Hublot F1 King Power as a watch is not new I will not going into detail about the technicalities. Hublot Red Magic & All Black Green Watches Hands-On

Last year Hublot released their first watch with a colored sapphire crystal. The crystal itself was tinted red on the very cool Hublot King Power F1 Monza watch. It was shared with me that more tinted crystals watches would come. Hublot is thus far sticking with red, but more colors will come soon – no [...]

Angular Momentum Urushi Red & Black Japanese Lacquer Watch Collection

Angular Momentum’s newest timepiece collection is based on something very Japanese. Maybe Seiko or Citizen will be pissed? Angular Momentum’s Urushi watch collection uses just that, the ancient natural Japanese lacquer. Urushi actually comes from a tree and is likely a specialized sap from a tree native to Japan, sometimes called the Varnish or Lacquer [...]
