I knew it was coming and I am glad that it is finally here. Similar to brands such as Jaeger-LeCoultre, Girard-Perregaux makes (or made) really good sport watches that it does not really market that much.

Bell & Ross 126 Sport Watch Review
This is the Bell & Ross 126 Sport and it is one of the most important watches currently sold by the sometimes polarizing Swiss brand. Bell & Ross is a recognizable luxury brand thanks to their line of instrument-style watches like the BR 01 and its many iterations.
Gucci i-Gucci Sport Watch Review
When designing this i-Gucci watch I have a feeling I know what Gucci was aiming for. The goal was probably to produce a Casio that hip urban fashion types want to wear…
Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde SW Watch Review
As I wear this watch a smile comes to my face. I smirk knowing that this watch is not something that would have been designed today. This sport version of the iconic Grande Seconde watch by Jaquet Droz is a curious item…
Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Diver Watch Hands-On
The most impressive new Maurice Lacriox watch this year is easily the Pontos S Diver. I think Maurice Lacriox eventually dropped the “Diver” part of the name. Who knows why – I am still going to call it the “Diver.” I first discussed the Pontos S when debuting it to the world here. Now with a hands-on look at the final versions I can once again say “I like it.”
Gucci G-Timeless Sport Watch
Shouldn’t the name of this watch be the Gucci “G-Time” versus “G-Timeless?” I mean of course I get what “timeless” means, but is that really a term you want as the name of a product that should not be “less time?” Perhaps I am thinking about it too much, but I really do feel that [...]
Bell & Ross Vintage BR Sport Watch Hands-On
When I wrote my Baselworld 2012 recap, I pointed to this watch as being one of my top picks from the show. There is nothing inherently novel or innovative about it. Nor does it represent a new design direction for Bell & Ross. Still, the piece is extremely appealing and well-done from a design perspective. [...]
Phosphor World Time Sport E Ink Watch Review
The E Ink watch saga continues over at Phosphor as their World Time watch (that I reviewed here) gets turned into the World Time Sport. This less expensive model gets a bit more hip and loses its buttons…
Swarovski Octea Abyssal Automatic Watch
For the last few years I have really admired the collection of watches from Swarovski. They offered nicely designed quartz watches with a lot of cool personality and prices that aren’t totally outrageous. The only problem was that they were all ladies watches… bummer. My favorite model was the Octea Sport. Last year, I heard [...]
F.P. Journe Octa Sport Watch
F.P. Journe is really pushing aluminum as its sport watch material of course. I’ve written in the past about not understanding why they would choose aluminum, which is a soft and easily dented metal for a super high-end luxury watch. It is very light, and I guess they like the quirk. Titanium has really usurped [...]
Harry Winston Ocean Sport Collection Watches
Harry Winston will soon launch this new collection of watches called the Ocean Sport. While I don’t think the name sounds particularly high-end (though the Ocean is a long standing Harry Winston watch), they are interesting are relatively simple and satisfying sport versions of the iconic Harry Winston Ocean watch fare. The Ocean Sport will [...]
Mondaine Men’s Night Vision Tritium Sport Watch Review
Maybe one of the most interesting Mondaine watches I have worn lately – this “Night Vision” version of their famous Swiss Railways watch comes with tritium gas tubes as well as a big date indicator. Still, it retains that classic look one seeks when wearing a watch like this…
RSW Nazca Sport Limited Edition Watches
I love how a design like that of the RSW (Rama Swiss Watch) Nazca is bound to be so polarizing. I think that RSW themselves gets a kick out of that. I mean, from a purely business-oriented motive you’d want to make timepieces that appealed to more people, not less people right? Yet despite this [...]
Ralph Lauren Sporting Chronograph Black Ceramic Watch Hands-On
Ralph Lauren watches have taken a lot of heat in the time since their announcement a few years ago. Yes, Ralph Lauren (RL) is a fashion brand, and yes they are pricey – but they have a lot of redeeming values. One of the things RL did right in their partnership with Richemont was not [...]
TechnoMarine Cruise Sport Watches Review
Here are two fresh TechnoMarine Cruise Sport watches for you to enjoy. I first covered the 2010 Cruise Sport collection here hands-on while meeting with TechnoMarine. Now, after having some more intimate time with the watches I am proud to offer a full review of the new Cruise Sport collection…
TechnoMarine Watches Back On The Block
The build up was intense. Months of teasers and speculation to see what new CEO of TechnoMarine Vincent Perriard would do to the brand that desperately needed a refresh. At the same time, Perriard only had a few months because he was new to the brand – fresh out of his seat at Concord. His [...]
