2. Collection of watches worth over $10 million seized from detained Sakhalin ex-governor

What is it about politicians and luxury watches? Last month, there was news about a Thai general with watches worth $1.2 million. This month, Alexander Khoroshavin, the ex-governor of the Sakhalin region in Russia, has been arrested and sentenced to 13 years in prison for bribery. Khoroshavin’s collection is even more amazing as it is said to be worth roughly $10 million. The collection is said to include the usual suspects of Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and more. What’s more incredible is that he had ordered another watch worth over $600,000 just shortly before being arrested.
