I love when Marcello C watches show up on eBay, it is such a rare treat, and an opportunity to own a truly satisfying watch. The Marcello C Nettuno 3 is uncommon watch as it is relatively inexpensive but enjoys a very high level of quality. The only other watch to compare it to is the Rolex Submariner. Each have the same features, and arguably, the Marcello C Nettuno is more comfortable on the wrist. I have a Marcello C Nettuno 3, actually two of them. They are perfect watches for everyday wear, that are stylish, and very handsome.

This Nettuno 3 is very special because it is a special edition style watch. It has been outfitted with “sword” hands, and special hour indicators. The custom indicators and hands serve to give the watch a more aggressive and bold look. Sword hands on diver’s watches such as this are commonly used to increase visibility underwater and at night. The larger hands tend to be more conspicuous in such environments. Further, the special rectangular hour indicators present a slightly “retro” appearance and go really well with the angular indicators on the rotating bezel.

The variation over the standard Nettuno 3 does not stop there. The cyclops date magnifier on the crystal has been removed for a more clean polished look, and the date indicator has been changed as well. Instead of the standard black font with a white background, this watch has a reversed color scheme that blends in better with the black face of the watch, and adds a more technically styled font. This is done much like a Sinn or other high quality diving watch. These enhancements really transform the watch into a more “showy” piece. The standard Marcello C Nettuno 3 is a beautiful watch by all standards, but this modified version places a real diving tool on your wrist. Further, there will not likely be too many other people in the world with an identical timepiece.

The Marcello C Nettuno 3 is powered by the workhouse ETA 2824-2 automatic movement. Few movements have been able to boast such high reliability. This movement is accurate enough to be a Chronometer, but simply hasn’t gone through the certification process. You will enjoy how reliable and accurate the movement is along with the precision readings you will achieve with this outstanding specially styled Marcello C Nettuno 3.
