The Nomos Timeless Club II comes in a polished stainless steel case with a diameter of 38.5mm, a lug-to-lug distance of around 48.75mm, and a thickness of just 8.45mm. As you might have guessed by looking at the specs and photos, the watch is really quite comfortable to wear and sits well on the wrist due to the curved lugs and the low thickness of the watch. The watch wears a little larger than what the diameter suggests and that is due to elongated lugs. This is something that can be seen in other Club models as well and can be considered as both a hit and a miss. That’s because the elongated lugs definitely help the watch look larger on the wrist but what that also means is that you end up having a significant gap between the case and the strap, giving way to show your skin underneath.

Having been a fan of the Nomos Club, I was already aware of this detail and was really eager to witness this detail in person. And though it would be unfair to say that this detail is not distracting, I would also admit that I got over it in a couple of days of wearing the watch and do not feel its existence anymore. But again, that’s just me and in case you are really interested in buying this watch, I would suggest you go and try the watch on your wrist before you make a purchase decision. Another good feature to consider is that the case is water-resistant to 100m, which implies that you could even go swimming with this watch.

The top of the case has a thick polished bezel which holds the sapphire crystal in place, giving a clear view to the dial. Flipping the watch over, you are greeted by a beautiful view of the manually wound movement courtesy of the sapphire crystal exhibition caseback. Rather than the DUW4101 movement, Nomos opted for the older Alpha caliber. The Alpha caliber which is utilized in this watch is the same movement that has been used by Timeless in the Orion Midnight Edition and features the brand’s in-house “Swing System,” making it more of an upgraded Alpha caliber. This movement has 17 Jewels, beats at a frequency of 21,600bph, and offers a power reserve of around 43 hours. The movement has been beautifully decorated using Glashütte stripes on the ¾ plate, as well as blued screws and perlage on the base plate. This is the sort of decoration which has had me flipping the watch over just to look at the movement.

I have always been fond of the Club collection from Nomos, but I must say that Timeless and Nomos have really created a unique and distinctive collaboration with the Nomos Timeless Club II. I really had a great time wearing this watch and would highly recommend it to someone who is looking forward to buying a versatile luxury timepiece with an in-house movement at a relatively affordable price point. Both variants of the watch will be limited to a production run of 100 pieces and come fitted with a nice black shell cordovan strap. Although the strap is of a high quality, I found the overall length of the strap to be a little short as I was already using the last pin hole on my strap to get a comfortable fit. So, I would suggest checking with Timeless to see if they have the straps available in a larger size, especially if you have relatively large wrists. The watch comes in an elegant wooden box and retails for $2,160. nomos-glashuette.com timelessluxwatches.com
