WATCH GIVEAWAY: Halios Tropik B

WATCH GIVEAWAY: Halios Tropik B Giveaways

In bronze, the Halios Tropik B adds a unique flavor to the Vancouver, Canada-based micro-brand’s popular, dressy sport diver. With new models that quickly sell out, Halios is lauded as one of the better “indie watch brands” due to their focus on quality over quantity thanks to the meticulous eye of the company’s founder. The Halios Tropik B is the bronze-cased version of the Halios Tropik (reviewed here), which has a 41mm-wide case (14mm thick) that is water resistant to 300 meters. The intentionally minimalist dial has applied hour markers and hands coated with luminant and an attractive sunray finish in black. The red font used for the date is a special added detail you won’t find in most other watches of this sort.

Inside the Halios Tropik B bronze watch is a Japanese Miyota caliber 9015 automatic movement, and this model is an attached green textile strap which matches the warm tones of the bronze case nicely. Retail price for the Halios Tropik B bronze watch is $675 plus shipping, but this month one lucky winner will receive one by entering below.

  • Victor Storsjö

    Love the Halios Tropik!
I’ve been to Hawaii and would love to go back! It’s a bit further away than most places since I’m from Sweden so it’s almost literally on the other side of the world from me!

  • scott d

Very nice low profile 300m dive watch.

  • asdf

    lovely watch

  • Ivan

Would love to visit Miami and try the Tropik in the sea.

  • Andrew Parkinson

After one previous visit, I’d love to return to Bali for a break in the countryside around Ubud. Great scenery & culture plus the friendliest people 🙂

  • Koen N

As the owner of a Halios Tropik SS, I have to say I’m really impressed by the design and quality of Halios watches, I have been considering getting another one for some time now.

I haven’t been in a tropical place yet. But one of my colleagues at work just returned from a trip to Cuba and seeing his pictures really make me want to go there!

  • Josh Graves

What a nice simple design. I like the chunky look. Perhaps my eyes are deceiving me, but this picture is either a steel case or the lightest tone of bronze ever photographed.

Where in the tropics would I like to revisit? I suppose Cuba would be towards the top of my list.

  • Alain Van Loon

I’ve recently finished planning my honeymoon to South Africa. We’ll be going on a safari and the only question that remains unanswered is: “What watch will I bring with me on my honeymoon”. This would be the perfect answer to that question and would look great on my wrist and on our honeymoon safari pictures.

  • Martin Chiu

I’m looking for a bronze watch and I’d love to go to the Great Barrier Reef to experience its great biodiversity as well as being on the other side of the world.

  • IanE

A great-looking watch with a date that pops nicely – at a good price for a bronze diver. I’d love to visit Khao Phing Kan (popularly known as James Bond Island) a spectacular grouping of limestone islands off Thailand.

  • Stephan Chan

Would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to visit the borneo rainforest, particularly Sarawak. It has an equatorial climate with tropical rainforests and abundant animal and plant species. If you love the mother nature and have plan to visit a tropical rainforest, check out Sarawak, Malaysia as your travel destination.

  • MEddie90

I tend to holiday in England my home country but if i were to visit the tropics i’d like to try Australia. My partner visited a few years ago and said it was hard to beat.

  • Raymond Wilkie

    stylish,tick,clear,tick,date window,tick …………………..yes please 🙂

  • D Young

I would like to visit Costa Rica and visit the rainforest.

  • A gorgeous diver from one of my favourite Micro Brands!

  • Jung Kyu Choi

Dunno if it’s considered as the tropics, but I loved it when I visited Sri Lanka. Really beautiful place with nice weather, food, and scenery. It may be a small island, but there is soo much to see.
As it is my goal to revisit the countries I have visited before, I’d love to go back again and relax with my watches(possibly a Healios Tropik B :p)

  • Hacker4748

Oh, I’d love to visit the Seychelles or Maldives, or Hawaii, would be awesome. 🙂

  • Erik Sorensen

I would love to visit Cuba. It’s a beautiful country full of wonderful people, good cigars, good rum, and an extraordinary climate.

  • Monica Osorio

Very nice watch, would love to give it to my husband!

  • elektero

I would love to visit Saint Elena Island, to feel the lonliness Napoleon felt.

  • Puerto Rico for its beaches and women 😉

  • Eran R

Finally, a proper bronze diver with human proportions, not a 47mm beast… well done. Where in the tropics shall I take it? The Bahamas should be nice to visit, just a short flight from Miami but a world away (I guess. never been there)

  • Pandybelly

Lovely dive watch Visited their website and liked the blue dial version even more. Had a great few weeks in Kenya many years ago in a tent on safari. Stunning wildlife, weather and people.

  • Igor Guimarães

I would like to know the beach of Bombinhas, Santa Catarina, Brazil. A beautiful place, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the country.

  • ConElPueblo

Honestly, hailing from Denmark, I think that any tropic destination would be fantastic. My better half has suggested going to the Seychelles recently, so perhaps I should support her idea! My closest encounter to that region was when I spent 4 months in Brisbane, Australia – lovely place, great people.

  • Florent G

I do love the Halios, a friend of mine has one in Bronze and it gets a wonderful patina over the years. I’d love to get back to Guadeloupe with it, especially on the Sainte island. Most beautiful beaches I ever seen.

  • Ángel Ordóñez

Well my desired tropic place to visit in the future would be Brazil, its coastal and indoor towns and cities, its wildlife and green forests and, with no doubts, partying with such fantastic watch, so good to dive as well.

  • winterwold

I have visited Curacao a couple of times. Just lovely down there.

  • Jeffwb65

I have always wanted to go to Hawaii. But somewhere secluded, away from all the tourist traps.

  • Tauseef Anwar

Went to the Seychelles for my honeymoon…would love to go back again.

  • bbfrid

Nice watch…would love to add a bronze watch to my collection. I’d like to travel to Costa Rica someday.

  • Mark Schultz

I’d love to wear the Tropik B walking on the seafront in Havana, I had to cancel a trip there earlier this year and id love to finally visit with a new watch on my wrist.

  • Bryan Kinney

I’ve traveled to Penang Malaysia a few times for work and would love to return as a tourist.

  • Wandi Marco

Tropical place that I always love to visit is Bali (I know its cliche) but I just love it 😀

  • Mike

Tried on an SS before, loved the size. Would be a great complement for a trip to SE Asia.

  • MSM

I visited San Juan, PR, and I loved it. So much history in Old San Juan, and the architecture is beautiful.

  • Dan Tyler

Went on honeymoon to Hawaii. Love to go back some time.

  • Duarte Vieira

I would like to go to Bali one day…

  • Roma KLM

A bronze case with a green strap is a perfect match of colours. I like it. Halios could be my casual watch which I would wear during my leisure days in Tenerife. The beautiful island Tenerife is called the “Island of Eternal Spring” and it waits for me.

  • Markus

Still looking forward to one day going to the Caribbean (Trinidad & Tobago, Bahamas, St. Lucia, etc.), sipping the local rum, looking at former pirates’ sites… Just amazing.

  • Shirley Furby

Saint Thomas on the destroyer I was serving on I looked down thirty foot and could see the white sandy bottom, never saw such beautiful water in my life.

  • Joel Schumann

Most authentically tropic experience II have had must be visiting the tiny Perhentian Islands, Malaysia some 15 years. Powder white sands, palms and rustic bungalows on land and colourfull marine life off land. In prominent position on my must do-list is exploring Cuba on a bicycle. Preferably before all you Americans invade the place, ha! And with a Halios on my wrist!

  • Dave Ryan

Curacao, because it looks awesome and isn’t too popular yet.

  • benjameshodges

St. Vincent and seeing the Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl set.

  • himem65535

Any of the tropics will do for me … Cancer, Capricorn, etc. 🙂 But seriously, probably somewhere in southeast asia … Bali, Fiji, etc. I think the Halios would do fine there, and the climate/humidity would certainly lend itself to accelerating some nice patina on this watch!

  • Wojciech Drzazgowski

As an avid water sport practitioneer and a diver-wannabe I would very much like to sport that watch during a trip to Cabo Verde next year. The location is apparently perfect for various kinds of surfing. At the same time (no pun intended) the watch would definitely suit the hot climate clothing appropriate during various trips allowing me to get to know yet another part of Portugese-speaking world.

  • christopher jensen

Would love to get back to Tortola where we honeymooned. Would love it even more with this watch 🙂

  • Coert Welman

My wife and I visited Zanzibar during our honeymoon. It is such a lovely place and such an inviting ocean. Lovely place to snorkel or scuba.

  • br1ce

I’d go for a diving session to Bali or French Polynesia !

  • PhilLC

love the colour! Next time I go to Canaima (Angel Falls) in Venezuela a Halios would be better company than a Swatch…

  • T Richards

Absolutely love the Kona coast of the Big Island, but would like to get to Tahiti one of these days! Being that far from the pace and stresses of life would be great! Cheers to ABTW for another cool giveaway!

  • Kirby Ellis

The Bahamas is the one for me. Beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters and of course, a James Bond heritage.

  • Kyle

I have always wanted to visit Cuba to see the famous Pillar boat, but I cannot imagine that I will get the chance for another decade at least.

  • Fabian Berends

Since I’m a bit of a biology buff I would love to visit Madagascar some day. It boasts a tropical rainforest with lots of species that are unique to the island. Their ancestors drifted ashore milions of years ago and they’ve adapted to the vast variety of different conditions on the island. Would sure love to be posing for a picture with one of the many lemurs present there, while wearing my shiny Halios watch of course… 😉

  • Omri Suissa

I have always wanted to visit Cuba 🙂

  • Dave Harrington

I’m excited that a watch is being broduced at such a reasonable price that uses a casing of Bronze! As you can see from my facebook ID image I’m a generally wet person and this watch would suit me ideally. If I don’t win I will seriously consider the idea of buying one.

  • mayank singh

I loved the Maldives and this watch is very much like it. Beautiful and worth more than its price.

  • Jeffrey Gougeon

I’d love to have bronze cased watch. It looks great.

The Seychelles is a place I would like to visit.

  • SunMotive

Halios Tropik B is for me! Beautiful watch…

  • Dan Baxter

I recently moved to SW Florida, which is quite tropical in itself. However, I would love to visit some of the Caribbean islands. I don’t have experience with them, but St. Kitts and Nevis have been recommended. Also, I understand Belize is beautiful as well.

  • Dave Ogburn

Great looking watch. Would love to travel with it back to Cozumel for snorkeling and maybe a dive.

  • Victor Cheong

I’d love to go to the Maldives. Where relaxation is attained and love is made. With this watch, I can even go for a dive.

  • Kevin kelley

I was stationed in Hawaii with the Marines at Kaneohe. Would love to get back there and explore more of the island, this time with my wife and this cool Halios Tropik B (so we know what time to get back for cocktails)!

  • Sarosto

Tha’s a nice watch, I would love to sport it in Fiji

  • Twinbarrel

    Island, Vanuatu: $199,000
Kastawei Island may be just less than an acre in size, but this little gem has a natural bay that’s perfect for a boat — and some of the prettiest water we’ve ever seen.
I would love to go there and buy the island where we can put all our divers to the test.

  • Jeff Durocher

One day I will visit the Galapagos islands, so much (relatively) untouched wilderness and wildlife to see. Also, like that watch and that brand, whomever wins it is definitely a lucky person.

  • markusp

    I’ll take it to Antigua!

  • Benjamin Denay

The USVI is my favorite and I would like to revisit wearing Tropik B!

  • Chris Hood

The Maldives is a bucket list kind of place. I’d love to visit some day. This is an incredible piece and I’d wear it all the time.

  • Jason

I’ve been to Dominica where we did a 16 mile round trip hike through the rain forest to a boiling lake.

  • Konrad Orsini-Rosenberg

The Bahamas. I know it’s a close call with “tropics”, but I worked there as a construction worker for a couple of months and have always wanted to go back for leisure!

  • Michael Kinney

I guess when one says “tropics” one thinks “island,” but my favorite tropical destination was Iquitos, Peru. Way up in the Amazon, a beautiful floating city in the jungle still resonating with the echoes of rubber barons past. I was in Puerto Morelos briefly once, on assignment after a hurricane hit Cancun, and it was pretty cool too. Colorful and lively, no TGI Fridays.

  • manivelle

    Martinique, et pourquoi pas?

  • Fordo

Guam, having spent three years there in my youth when my dad was stationed there during the Vietnam War. Greatest place for a child to spend 3 years, in short & flip-flops year round!

  • tcoomber

My wife and I went to Belize on our honeymoon. I’d love to go back. It has all the beauty of the other countries in the area but is less spoiled by development.

  • Henrik Johnsen

    Cheers! 🙂

  • ccv

I would like to go to the Maldives because it seems like a very beautiful place

I would like to go to Ambergris Caye in berlize someday cause it seems to be a very fun place.

  • tank324

I would like to go to the Cayman islands one day.

  • Tim van Dorst

I’m a huge fan of Halios, the Delfin is one of the favorite pieces in my collection and gets a lot of wrist time.
The bronze is great to, it had a very good build to it and the aluminium bronze has a nice grayish patina to it. Awesome detail is the matching color of the date wheel with for example blue and green dials. I’m really looking forward to the steel Tropik with blue dial and solid bezel (like the Tropik B). I really like to visit the Dominican Republic again. It’s a beautiful country with great people.

  • kpjimmy

Hawaii all the way! Why? Because the beaches and sunsets are out of this world! Oh and the food is awesome too!

    Great looking watch!

  • David Antonacci

My wife and I just got back from Riviera Maya Mexico. It was our first trip to the area and was wonderful. Beach, sun, sand and top country acts for Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa. Nothing beats a concert on the beach!!

  • ankur718

I would love to visit the Maldives because I’ve seen some of the photography from the area and the crystal clear blue water is a sight I absolutely have to see one day.

  • Ben S.

I’d like to visit some place in the South Pacific, like Tuvalu or Palau. The main inspiration for this is the great South Pacific documentary by the BBC.

Ibiza, because Iv’e never been and the parties sound amazing!

  • MerricMaker

I suppose I’ll cheat and say Poolewe, Scotland, which has a sub-tropical climate and comes complete with palm trees. I despise sunshine, which seems to be what most people like the tropics for, now scotch however…

  • Peter Unkovic

Awesome watch, the bronze gives it a cool alternative feel! I would love to take this back to St. Thomas USVI to explore some more coral reef diving!

  • Eric Gordon

I have become a fan of Goa over the years (due to frequent travel to India). I plan to visit Hawaii soon and am looking forward to it. I am a big fan of Halios, and have a Tropik SS that has served me well and it a nice looking watch.

  • Scott Ferron

I have always wanted to visit Costa Rica because of the infamous Blue Hole dive location just off shore

  • Todd Haldeman

Took a cruise in 8th grade. Still remember it vividly, to this day. All of the islands we visited were in the tropics, but my favorite was Barbados. Seemed so different from the others we visited. Everyone was so laid back and care free. Ironically, it really looked like the kind of place where you wouldn’t NEED a watch!

  • Michal Kolarik

For me it would be Costa Rica, hopefully one day it’ll happen.

  • al.outside

Awesome watch – would love to win. Seychelles is on my bucket list for a visit at some point in the future.

  • Beejonpoint

Headed to Vieques, PR in March to present a different form of jewelry to the lady with whom I’d like to spend the rest of my life. I had to completely deplete the savings in my watch fund to do so. Didn’t think twice…

  • Will Stark

It’s a dive watch, only seems appropriate to dive with it somewhere beautiful like the Maldives

  • Ethan Grauer

Beautiful looking watch! I have always wanted to go to the Bahamas. It looks so beautiful and peaceful there!

  • FilmEditorFL

I have been to the Bahamas and Caribbean many times. I’d have to say St. Maarten is my favorite. Where else can you have 2 nations represented on an island like that? The people are great, the scenery is beautiful and the culture is a fantastic mix.

  • Addison Gernhard

I have always wanted to visit the Maldives, it looks beautiful and the game of carrom is pretty popular down there.

  • Abe Andon

Great Looking watch… it has a classic old time look for those that like vintage watches… love the markers on the watch, very similar to the Rolex Oyster… Love it 🙂

  • Allen Ross

I’ve been interested in bronze watches for a while now and this one would suit me well. In the future I would love to visit “The Big Island” in Hawaii because since I was a young kid i’ve always had a fascination for the Hawaiian Islands.

  • at1time

The watch is good looking and affordable. Fiji would be a nice destination.

  • Joe

Hawaii – I have always wanted to see the beaches there.

  • Tony middleton

Singapore was lovely but to be fair I’d like to win the watch just to see if anyone outside America can ever win

  • Young Sonmor

Lived on Totola, in the BVi for a few years. Was, and is still my favorite place in the world.

  • Dave Theus

Very nice watch, particularly like the simplicity of the face. Love to make it to Cuba.

  • Omegaboy

In high school, my family and I lived in Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil, a 15 minute walk from the beach. The temperature summer/winter, day/night was about 80 degrees – wonderful.

  • Paul Stanley

Very nice looking watch! Thanks for continuously posting great photographs of great watches. I look forward to my daily A Blog to Watch email.

According to Google, the “tropics” is limited to the area surrounding the equator of the earth limited to the Tropic of Cancer in the north to the Tropic of Capricorn in the south. Sadly, since I have not been outside of the U.S., I have not been to any of those locations. I would like to go to Cuba and then take a sailboat to wherever else the wind takes me.

  • Joe

Sunny Singapore where I belong. It would be perfect to enjoy a dip in the pool while wearing this watch. Pretty sure the Patina will set in fast in this humid weather!

  • Nelson Lima

Love it…”dressy sport diver” Good looking watch with automatic movement.

  • jaemo

First off… really like Halios style. Costa Rica is on my bucket list. I really enjoy fishing and peacock bass are calling my name.

  • steve

Have always loved Halios watches. This piece looks like it would be right at home scouring the beaches of Costa Rica like I did on my honeymoon a few years ago. The tide would go out in the morning and make all these little tide pools that you could go and poke around in. Then in the afternoon you could take a 30 walk down the isolated feeling beach to a nice little walk up bar and have an amazing view while loosening up. Unforgettable.

  • Ben W

I’ve been wanting to go to the galapagos islands for a long time. To see the scenery and nature down there would be incredible

I would love to take this watch diving in the Philippines

  • Andrew Reittinger

Just the watch I need, as I don’t have anything in my fledgling collection I feel comfortable taking on the beach to swim or out on a boat. I’ve visited the bahamas, Costa rica, and jamaica, but I’d love to go back to jamaica. Friendly people, great food, lovely beaches, and a fun vibe all around.

  • Gary Aerne

I think the brass watch is a great attraction to a watch. It would look great on my wrist!! I like Cuban cigars. Maybe they have a watch dedicated to tha .

  • Samir Patel

Not many people from this hemisphere ever get there, but Vanuatu is a straight amazing place.

  • Magnus Leung Fd Gustafsson

Beatiful watch. Would love to see how it looks after a month of surfing and snorkeling in Bali.

  • Ted Cole

My favorite place for recurring visits is Belize. Great reef for diving and great people. Glalapagos and the south Pacific are on the bucket list.

  • Lukewes

Beautiful Automatic Diver, I’ve always wanted to go to the Caymens to do some diving…

  • Jason Keippela

The Riveria Maya in Mexico hold great memories for me as that was where my bride and I spent our anniversary. I love her and love the warm weather of Puerto Aventuras!

  • Chris Dell

I’m lucky enough to live and work in Mozambique, aund this watch would be perfect for weekend getaways to such exotic places as Praia do Tofu, Mozambique Island or even Inhaca. This last is an island that forms the outer side of Delagoa Bay, the English name for the harbor at Maputo, the capital city. Mozambique is perhaps the most exotic country in Africa. A mix of tropical Africa, the Swahili coast and a Portuguese Latino vibe. World class snorkeling in many places, including the Santa Maria reef off Inhaca. I lived here for three years during the early ’90’s, when Mozambique was suffering through a terrible drought and a devastating civil war. It’s been a real delight to return 20 years later to find a country at peace, rediscovering its own identity, history and culture. Best of all, it’s nearly 2400 kilometers of white sand beaches and amazing tropical waters. Just the place to sport a lovely watch from a great new start up.

  • RM Camp

Someday I would like to explore Angkor Wat, but not on a guided tour, just on my own.

  • kubanm3

Is Australia tropic? I’d love to go there. Don’t know why, I just feel like I’d like it there.

  • disqus_xEk5Uzi1F8

Great watch. Would be perfect ? for the occasion if I have a chance to visit Hawaii

  • Kerry O

I’ll take this watch with me to St. John!

  • Janis Banis

    This watch looks very good.

  • James Fotherby

I would return to St Eustatius in the Dutch Caribbean. It’s a fantastic untouched location with great dive sites. It also happens to be where I met and fell in love with the amazing woman who would become my wife!

I’m actually looking forward to visiting my in-laws in Bali in the not too distant future.

  • soulashell

I would love to go to the Bahamas.

  • Barry

I have visited so many Caribbean Islands and am trying to choose where to take my family this spring. Costa Rica and Puerto Rico are high on the list. I’d love to take the Tropik B with me. I have had several Halios’ watches and they have all been fantastic.

  • Hirasdo Julius

I have visited Bali and would always love to comr back. The slogan ‘island of Gods’ definitely is not overrated.

  • Ulysses31

Tropics eh? How about one of those southern Japanese islands.

  • Ian

As an old sailor, I love bronze watches. I have spent many port calls throughout the Caribbean and they all have wonderful people, food, and water. My favorite place by far is Trinidad. Specifically Maracas Bay, with a local Vat 19 rum drink and Bake and Shark sandwich you can sit in one of the most beautiful places on Earth and not have a care in the world.

  • scoop42

I’ve never been to the South Pacific islands would love to go tropical

  • tired170

Bali would be my choice. My son’s ashes were scattered there so for sentimental reasons, I would visit the place he loved so much

  • Jeff Negrin

Love the watch – a bit retro, but not too much. I’m lucky enough to have spent a bit of time in the “tropiks”, but certainly would love to spend more! Have never been, and therefore always have dreamed, of the far East, e.g. Bali, Thailand. Would be better still with a new Halios on my wrist!

  • Brandon Teo

I would visit the The Canopi at Bintan resorts for some cable skiing, with my Halios Tropik on my wrist!

  • Jason Tucker

I would love to go to the Galapagos Islands.

I’d love to visit Peru – if that counts as part of the tropics. High mountains, and a great ocean. Perfect place to test this watch out in!

  • qudths

very nice giveaway, thanks Ariel and team. I’d love to be able to go to the Maldives. the private bungalows and the blue ocean in almost complete isolation seems very appealing to me (for about a week or so anyway)!

  • Hammy Wortman

I went to Costa Rica when I was a boy. I remember it as a magical forest of volcanos and beautiful people. And lots of monkeys…

  • Jeff Techico

    Say hi to Jason!
Visited St. John on our honeymoon!

  • giannakis anastasios

That’s nice, very nice! Halios tropik b(ahamas) or b(ali) or b(razil)!

  • DB

I purchased one of the first series of the Tropik B, and liked it quite a lot. Good things to say about Jason as well. I no longer have that watch, but would be very pleased to wear one again. Perhaps in Hawaii, as my wife seems interested in going. And I think it would be a good idea to go with her.

  • David Swayze

I have a Halios Bluering which is an awesome diver. Jason designs and builds incredible watches that will last a lifetime. He also gives loyal service to all of his customers. It would be an honour to have a Tropik in Bronze.

  • Victor Barcelos

Gotta go to the Bahamas someday and experience the laid back culture.

  • Davidson

I’m getting married this summer, so we’re looking at Jamaica for our honeymoon!

  • halfacat1

I’d love learn to surf somewhere, like costa rica!

  • René VooDoo Wendtland

Been to Trinidad a couple of years ago, and still dream of it.

  • Mr. Green

    41mm and brass sound perfect!
I just had some hot chocolate a friend brought back from Belize, and it was insane. As good an excuse to go as any!

  • JayM

Been to Costa Rica, loved it. Beautiful beaches and landscape, great people. As for tropical locations I’d like to visit… probably Belize. Blue and glorious.

Great to see a Canadian brand represented here!

  • Nick

Cracking looking watch, simple yet different. Last – and indeed only – time I went to the tropics was in August for my honeymoon, two weeks in Costa Rica. First place we’ve been that we could happily move to, stunning country. Went snorkelling while I was there, so this watch would’ve come in handy!

  • JayDub

I’d love to visit Peru! For Machu Picchu…

  • JJ

I’d love to visit the Virgin Islands and learn how to scuba dive

  • mike garver

I just returned from Uvita, Costa Rica and could’ve used this watch. I’m going back in 2 months to stay in Costa Verde Estates, Costa Rica… soooo, TIA, for choosing me to wear this Tropik B, from Halios. It’ll look great with a Toucan on the same arm!

Would love to visit Hawaii with the Tropik B on my wrist!

I loved visiting Fiji – very low key, laid back environment.

  • JayJay

I’ve always wanted to go to India to experience culture shock

  • Jon Dam

Beautiful watch from my home province British Columbia! Would love to take it to my property in Belize, Ambergris Caye and explore the Blue Hole.

  • Marc Boekema

Must be the Bahamas! Wonderfull watch!

  • Batacazo

Give a canadian watch to a canadian dude 😉

  • David Mention

Looks like a great watch with a solid movement. I’d love to go to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia with this on my arm.

  • Dan

Well, since the Tropics is a region of the Earth surrounding the Equator. It is limited in latitude by the Tropic of Cancer in the Northern Hemisphere at 23°26?13.9? (or 23.4372°) N and the Tropic of Capricorn in the Southern Hemisphere at 23°26?13.9? (or 23.4372°) S, there is A LOT of places to visit.

My favorite I’ve been to, Singapore! Modern, clean, perfect for business, great for tourist (like me), safe, perfect weather.

Where I want to go; Uganda. Hopefully I’ll be there in 2017 for a friend’s wedding.

The watch is petty cool though!

  • Duncan Gray

I’d want to return to India and explore the south of the country. Went there 26 years ago and loved the country and the people, it would be great to go back and see more.

  • Daniele Bonaldo

The next trip I have planned is to Martinique, where I’m going to do a lot of diving!
This watch would be definitively adapt for the situation

  • SCent

Would be nice to take this lovely BC watch to Grand Cayman, where the diving is magnificent!

  • Patrick D’Annunzio

Suberb watch and canadian like me!!!gimme!

  • tknospdr

This is a beautiful watch. I just started collecting bronze watches and only have one so far. This would be an awesome second.
I’ll take it on my next trip to Vanuatu. 🙂

  • Bill Jones

    Aruba for the beaches!

  • Simon Parry

I’ve always liked these. The bronze case should develop a lovely patina in Bora Bora

  • Claudiu

The next trip on my todo list is in Thailand and Cambodia, because there is so much oriental culture to be seen, which is largely unknown to us Europeans.

  • horohollis

The Halios Tropik has always been an eye catcher. More is to be said of the Tropik B, with its bronze case, wonderful luminous markers, and the huge potential to be a patinaed dream! I don’t yet own a bronze cased watch; however, this one would make a great addition to my collection as to any watch owner’s collection, however minimalistic or expansive that might be.

  • beaker_d

Lovely watch – I think I’d like to enjoy it while exploring some of the Polynesian Islands

  • Kirk Macdonald

I’ve been hoping to add a Halios to my collection for a while. I would like to head back to Maui with my wife for a visit. We have several friends there that we would like to see again.

  • Chuck

What a beautiful watch. I’d love to just chill out in Costa Rica, on the beach and under the waves, with it.

  • michael mescher

Big fan of the carribean.Any where in that area.St Thomas,Bermuda, Jamaica.Been to all three and love the laid back culture and food.As for the watch big fan of simple clean military divers. This one reminds of a Hamilton but with its own unique twist

  • Jeriel

Absolutely stunning timepiece. Greetings from SG, love to visit Costa Rica and its waterfalls!

  • grobbins09

My favorite tropical place would easily be Ambergris Caye in Belize. I went there on a biology study during college and instantly fell in love. Time slows down, no one is in a rush. You can snorkel/scuba dive, visit Mayan ruins, see Jaguars, go tubing through caves. Least we not forget Belikin beer! To me, nothing beats being in Belize!

  • Yasmine

    Great looking watch.

Went to Hawaii for this first time this past December; beautiful. My husband and I cant wait to go back. Also, visited Dominican Republic the year before also beautiful but stay on the resort.

  • Christian Henriksen

I’ve always thought that Maui couldn’t be more perfect. Checking my time up the Waihee Ridge Trail on this beauty might just fit the bill though.

  • johnwithanh

I’d love to get back to Cozumel for the scuba, but if that’s the mission I think I might wait a few years until I can make it to Cuba. Lots of nature preserves on the southern coast to explore.

  • Mark Mason

Stunning timepiece. Have visited Playa del Carmen and Costa Maya in Mexico and would love to go back there some day – preferably wearing this lovely watch 😉

  • Paul Elam

I went to St. John with my wife and some other couples a few years back and it was amazing – I’d go again in a heartbeat, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone else looking to get away from the concrete jungles of the big cities. The beaches and waters were pristine and the locals were happt and friendly. I brought a pelican car of my four favorite dive watches, and each if then had plenty of wrist time in dun and water. I’d love to return…and hopefully with s Halos on the wrist next time.!

  • JosephWelke

I’d like to get to Cuba. See what it’s all about, the good, the bad, the changed and the things that are frozen in time. See what Hemingway loved about it.

  • Charles Wood

This is a beautiful watch. I would wear it around Portland, Oregon, and take it diving in Puget Sound. (I “followed” Halios on Google +, how do you “circle” a page?)

  • wallydog2

At 72 I would put to shame those bronzed and buffed speedo twenty-somethings who hang out at the Eldorado Royale swim-up bars on the Mayan Riviera in Mexico. “Gee, sir”, they would say, “Where did you, like, get that, like, cool watch?” There I’d be, with the skinniest white arms and the skinniest white legs, and a bit of a pot belly, and I’d say, “Like, I got it from ABTW, like, a really cool, like website, or blogsite or, like, whatever, man.”

  • Nate

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Nassau, specifically Paradise Island. It was touristy, but the people were very friendly and the food and drinks were excellent. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

  • Marty C.

I’ve never been any place really tropical, but I’d love to check out Belize.

  • Yanis

I went to the canaries island once and it was beautiful and warm. I’dlove to go back there in there future and maybe diving !
    This watch looks really great!

  • Richard Wagle

Never been to the tropics. My vacations tend toward urban locations where I can go to book stores and record stores. A nice dive watch might change my mind though.

  • cg

Ok so I would go on a dive trip again to the Exuma Cays. One of many favorite tropical destinations. I’d be Cruzan with John Courage…. for those of you that know! And yes I’d really dive with a dive watch!

  • chesirecat77

Somewhere in the Carribean would be nice not only as a week long holyday but as a winter shelter! Hope to visit someday. Also – would like to get my hands on a Halios. Have been eying their models lately, and restraining myself.

  • AnthonyBSD

I love Cayman Islands. My favorite place in the world for diving/snorkel.

  • Leo

I would love to visit the Seychelles because it has nice villas and beaches.

  • Nice. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • BeerNye

Would love to go to Thailand. The food, the history, the food, the small islands off the coast, the food…

  • Joel

I would love to visit any archipelago (I dont know if thats how you say it in english?) on the Pacific Ocean, I found them really attractive.

  • Ryan

Love the Halios! I would like to someday visit the Los Roques archipelago.

  • Lloyd Buckland

i’d like to visit Bali because I like the name.

  • Lloyd Spivey

Great watch!! I’d love to travel to Belize and go diving.

  • Steve Johnston

It seems like a very nice watch. As a Canadian it is nice to see a Canadian manufacturer doing well.
I did a trip once to Martinique about 25 years ago and to this day I have never been anywhere that even came close to the weather there. It was simply incredible with something like average of 32 degrees C in the hot season and 28 degrees C in the cold season. It rained every day I was there but between about 2 am and 3:30 am with total sun during the days. It is a magical place 🙂

  • Steve

I would like to visit Bali. The islands look beautiful.

  • John

I never heard of this company until today! Thanks aBlogtoWatch, hopefully I’ll win this watch so I save some money on buying it 🙂 I’d love to visit Colombia with it too, because of the lovely people that come from there.

  • Erik Batson

I have been impressed with Halios and their brand. I would really enjoy owning a watch of this caliber. I have not been to Caribbean, but I used to teach in the Bronx and all my students say I should either go to Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic(mainly because they are from there). My choice would have to be Cuba before the tourist get a hold on it.

  • David Williams

Costa Rica is very special, on account of its amazing biodiversity. This watch would also be very much at home in the ABCs – Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao – with their fantastic diving locations and southern-Caribbean climate.

  • Bali!

  • michael schafbuch

It’s a new name to me. I like the simple design and the key feature of bronze. I would imagine bronze looking especially beautiful with water dripping from it, under water, or reflecting in the warm sun. Forgot all the pseudo-science on the benefits of bronze, this watch just looks great!

  • Michael King

my favorite Halios, hawaii would be awesome

  • Dan B

Absolutely love Halios watches! My Blue Ring is one of my most beloved watches. Been wanting a Tropik for some time now but funds just aren’t there at the moment.

Big fan of the Caribbean and the Virgin Islands specifically. I like the French, Dutch, English, Spanish influences so close together.

  • BrandonS

    Would love to visit Thailand!

  • TheYoshi

I spent a day on Les Saintes off the coast of Guadeloupe. I’d love to go back and spend a week there. Great quaint little island (and a great place to wear a watch just like this Halios

  • Andrew Hindle

Classic MilItaly style is back in fashion.

  • Manzur Dan

I have never been to tropics but i wish to go to Bali in the next two years, i hope i will succeede 🙂

  • Taylor Glenn

I will be visiting Aruba this spring for my honeymoon. It would be nice to have a new watch to take along 🙂

  • Jeff Kolodny

Beautiful watch!! I have been lucky enough to enjoy many different locations in the tropics. One of the most fun places is Mayo Beach St Maarten. It’s the beach in which the planes land right over your head. (check it out online.) I also love a place called Xel ha in Mexico. It’s a natural water park that has cliff jumping, snorkeling, and other awesome activities. Free drinks and food with your entrance fee. (Did I mention the food and drinks are Awesome?)

  • Tomas Söderström

Solomon islands have been my dream place to visit and dive for many many years. If I win I take it as a sign and will make it a reality.

  • Dan B.

I would love to visit Malaysia or Thailand, but I have a soft spot for Hawaii as it is where I spent my honeymoon. It truly is a tropical paradise and I have never felt the same way about a place I visited.

I remember the watch I wore on my honeymoon and I believe this Halios would have been pretty perfect for that trip. I was fortunate to have met Jason Lim (Halios founder) in NYC and was really impressed with him and the watches. He seems to really be a true watch lover and is really committed to getting the details right. That is what separates a good watch from a great one. I plan on owning a Halios in the future. If not the tropik, I have a watch crush on the Delfin.

  • Loren Leong

My go to place is Hawaii, especially Kauai, I love the snorkling and there a lot of hidden beaches you just have to look for them. I also have had Cuba on my bucket list and now that it’s open I’m sure there a lot of hidden gems.

  • JK241

Unique designs from a great company. I was lucky enough to travel to Mo’orea a couple of years ago. Like most trips/vacations, you end up discovering much more than you expected and I would love to get back there someday.

  • Dave

Love the clean looks of the watch. Like this watch company I am also Canadian, and getting anywhere in the tropics during the long winter is great. One of my favourite places to go is by Dominical Costa Rica which has it all, surf, sand, rainforest, and great people.

  • GalaxyGuy

I’m very interested in a bronze cased sport watch (dress sport, if you prefer), and I like the look of this Halios, to be sure. Clean lines, a bit of pop with the reddish date…very cool.

My favorite place in the tropics has to be Costa Rica. It is an amazingly beautiful country that is very friendly and open to foreign tourists. Hawaii is nice, but Costa Rica is truly spectacular. If you’ve not been there, I highly recommend it!

  • SandroDoc

I’d love to go to the Seychelles, I enjoy diving, so I’d probably have a great time there!

Very nice watch, thanks for the giveaway!

  • Ben Garner

We got married in Jamaica, that was pretty good.

  • Jay

    Puertoooooooo Rico

  • RogerB

Man that halios is lovely…the fact that its made by fellow canucks makes it only sweeter!

I used to work around SE asia and loved thailand out of all of the spots I got to visit. People were very laid back, landscapes from south to north were stunning. The food. OH, THE FOOOOOD! It was all awesome stuff and just sampling the cuisine was an adventure in itself, as a bonus I never got sick once (this is from someone being absolutely fearless or retarded when it comes to roadside food), and always had banana pancakes as a comfort food.

Back to that halios….sure would love to take it on a diving trip in the south of thailand, lets say somewhere like koh tao. Never been diving before, but breaking in that bronze beauty would be a perfect excuse!

  • Tommy Higdon

Enjoyed spring break one year in Cozumel. Need to go back soon….with this watch! Thanks.

  • drThrillman

Nassau so I could pretend to be 007

  • Mikkel T

Anywhere in the tropics, much needed heat and sun would do wonders, especially with a nice watch on my wrist

  • Reese Yankee

Awesome, I’d love to start a Halios collection. Another Canuck here!

  • crezo

The stainless halios was great, but the brass looks amazing! I’d love to go to Fiji, diving, with this watch 😉

  • Luciano

Bora Bora! A perfect place to dive with a great watch!

Seychelles – just a really beautiful place with great people

  • Sam Kryszek

I loved the Bahamas. The weather was fantastic and the marine wildlife was fantastic.

I would love to go back to our honeymoon paradise Antigua, this time doing the diving course I missed, WITH a Halios Tropic on my wrist – obviously 🙂

  • Nathan Sedlak

I’d love to visit the Maldive Islands to go diving and try out some underwater photography.

  • GatorWatch

One of the best spots I’ve ever been to is the Virgin Islands (both the U.S. and British). They are stunningly beautiful, still pristine, offer all the amenities you want, and you can easily get there from the continental US!

On a side note, I love Halios and have really enjoyed watching the brand progress. Seems to be one people have nothing but praise for. Personally I would love to have one of these and take it back to the Virgin Islands with me!

  • Sam Anderson

Have been to Thailand a couple of times and absolutely love it–the food, the people, the geography.

  • Varin

I’d love to go back to Thailand – I haven’t been in a very long time and it would be good go visit some family and explore the jungles and beaches that I’ve never seen, all while soaking in the amazing culture and eating my favorite food in the world.

  • Foo Chee Chang

Definitely the Papua region of Eastern Indonesia to spot some birds of paradise, followed by a jaunt to Raja Ampat, one of the new frontiers of diving.

  • Chris Morgan-Jones

Given how grey and damp it is in the UK at the moment anywhere in the Caribbean would be amazing right now. One of my relatives used to live in St Lucia and the photos be posted online always made me jealous!

  • Y Til

Thailand was a great journey in some 25 years ago, would like to be there again.

  • Brian Russell

Would like to visit the Bahamas again. Who wouldn’t, when you can see starfish on the ocean floor by moonlight?

  • Alex

As a recent convert to the church of divers, I’m excited to see such a cool and classy brand in my hometown of Vancouver!

  • Cecil

I’d wear mine back to the Dominican, but I’d pull the crown at 5 o’clock, because the only time that matters on the beach is happy hour.

  • Bob Sebastian

I’d love to take the Halios to Bonaire. They would both be new experiences for me. And they are both supposed to be wonderful!

  • Andrew Morrison

I love this watch and have had my eye on the stainless steel version. The bronze version has a little bit more “zing to it”. Like the simple clean look.

  • Logan MacCuish

I visited Costa Rica a few years ago and loved the mountains with all of the rare animals. My sister moved to Australia several years ago and I’m dying to visit her and maybe she’ll take me scuba diving (she’s certified). I’d love to put a diver to use!

  • Ryan Senio

I’d love to win a mate for my first gen tropic B!

  • Greg Lee

I’d love to visit Kakadu in northern Australia: a last frontier.

  • araziza

Would love one of these. I went to Hawaii for my honeymoon and there is more to see in this tiny area than in many larger countries. It has nearly every land type (desert, beach, mountain, rainforests…). I’d go back there in a heartbeat.

  • Had the blue Tropik SS a while back and it was brilliant with excellent customer support from Halios too. Might as well enter for a chance to win a Bronze 🙂

  • Nicholas Strandell

The island of FIJI would be a great adventure!

  • Liutauras B

Since this watch is for diving it should be taken to one of the best places for that purpose – Palau island. I heard it is hard to beat the underwater beauty of that place.

  • Pete LeCren

Woukd love to win. Planning to go to St Lucia for our honeymoon in 18! Cant wait for the watersports and walking….

  • Rodney Stone

Nice Watch, it would be perfect to wear when i’m visiting Thailand in July on holiday

I have been in Japan many times. Part of the main island is pretty tropical.

Where else can it be? Of course it’s Basel Switzerland 🙂

  • moss1310

Beautiful watch that I would happily wear Vietnam any day.

  • Alexander Troitsky

In my opinion this is the perfect watch. The embodiment of originality, simplicity and reliability.

  • SecondCity

Beautiful – classy yet laid back, like Key Largo.

  • Shane Kleinpeter

  • James Muehlner

Nice looking watch! I really enjoyed my last trip to Fiji, and would happily wear it there again.

  • Chris Martin

I would love to do the hike up to Machu Picchu.

  • neal

I’d love to wear this watch to a Muay Thai bout in Thailand.

  • I’ve been in Goa and it’s a great place to travel. But I’d surely visit Jamaica. James Bond, reggae, Clash, pirates, sprinters – so many different associations with this place

  • Dan Eraso

Funny… I live in the tropic. However in the middle Of the andean mountains, where there is no heat. I would like to visit the guyanas or belize because we do not know much about them.

  • Julli

Amazon would be amazing to see, because I live in the cold north

  • Mark Graham

I went to Aruba in the Caribbean for our honeymoon and would have loved to have this Helios on my wrist whilst swimming in the turquoise blue waters.

  • Rob Crenshaw

The only free diving I ever did was on Bora Bora at 16, I just had to get this shell I saw from 20 feet up. The water was very clear, it was a deep dive for holding my breath. I wanted a souvenir, and this bright blood red shell looked perfect. As I dove, a sea turtle swam by, I figured the only time that would happen in the wild in my life, I was correct. I wanted a Submariner at the time, still do, but at 16 could not afford one. Now that I can I find other watches more interesting, a Sub is an easy and oft-copied choice. The shell took two tries to attain, and upon examination had a yellow edge to the inside along the scalloped edge. When dry it turned a pastel blood red, hardly the bright color that attracted my eye from the surface! That was many years ago, and I still have that shell.

  • Adnan Popara

Beautiful watch! Place I would love to visist is Bora Bora. Why? Well, it’s heaven on earth.

  • Steve Bowden

Perhaps my favourite place in the tropics is Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It’s an amazing place. The architecture is so different from a western perspective that, while at this UNESCO Heritage Site, you feel almost as if you were on another planet. I have attached one of my pics. Also included in the picture is a hand of one of those helpful people who like to point at things when it is not necessary, ruining a perfectly good photograph. Here the hand wanders into my photo to point out the fact that we are inside of a giant temple complex. Without his guiding hand, I would never have known.
Curiously, it was my trip home that triggered my interest in watches. The humidity in Cambodia is almost always near 100%, and the temperature was over 40 Celsius when I left. Inside the air conditioned plane my watch filled up with condensation and was ruined. When I returned home I started reading about what makes for a quality watch…and I was hooked.

  • Daniel D.

Hard to say especially after Uncle Sam had me stationed in sunny Puerto Rico for three years. As a CG aviator I had the chance to hop to a lot of islands, not always for fun but enjoyed every minute of such. I guess back to St. John would be fun.

  • I had a chance to stay at Punta Mita (Mexico) – it’s a great place to escape to. Thanks for the opportunity to win the watch!

  • doulikemyname

Quite easily back to Colombia, the entire country is incredible and the 2.5yrs I lived there were the best in my life. Such beauty and variety and an incredible story of recovering from it’s tough past. A lot of works till left to be done but it is an example to most places in LATAM.

Making a visit in Feb/Mar again, can’t wait!

  • Apostolis

Being Greek I have been to many nice places that many want to go, although I am not a fan. Living in the UK I haven’t traveled a lot lately, but I’d like to visit northern Europe more. Looks like these places are for me, nice and cold.

  • Roger Goodgion

Years ago, I traveled to Thailand where i scuba dived off the island of Ko Samui. It was truly one of the more breathe taking dives I have done, and without a wet suit! Asian pacific water is so clear and the tropical fish have such vibrant colors. The Halios Tropik B would be a welcome addition to the tropics of Asia. It looks to have a very balanced dial and the colors ooze with ” I’m on vacation, so if that ain’t a Mai-Tai in your hand, please get out of my sun light.”

  • Justin

Love to visit the yaeyama islands with a sweet tropik b 🙂

  • Pawel Solaris

Nice watch, and it would be nice to wear it on Bonaire.

  • Eric Thompson

The green textile strap would blend perfectly in the relaxing turquois waters of Aruba. It was a perfect honeymoon destination.

  • NC

I loved spending some time in Belem, on the mouth of the Amazon, before taking a 3 day boat trip up the River to Manaus. Bring your own Harmonica and a fishing-line to hang off the back and chill.

  • Terry Gastelu

Beautiful timepiece. I’ve always wanted to see how a bronze case would change from my environment over time. I would love to go anywhere in the tropics with great food, rum, music and women.

  • Mike Ciccarelli

I am a fan of the Halios Tropik B!

  • Nick D.

I’m from Montreal so anything south would be fine during winter. But Saba, Caiman Brac or any tiny caribbean island would be most welcome.

  • Paul Newman

Santa Marta, Colombia. Vamos a la playa, oh, o, ooooo…! ??

  • KevinHiggins

Nice looking design. I prefer simple designs over watches with all the complications that I seldom use anyway. As long as the watch is durable, easy to read with a real second hand and a date, its my kind of watch.
I used to dive regularly but these days limit my water adventures to snorkeling and kayaking.
My favorite location is St. John in the US Virgin Islands.

  • Scott Rhue

I’d love to take my wife to Hawaii for a second honeymoon….. Or go on a tour of rum distilleries in the Caribbean….. Or skin diving in Maldives…. Drat my ADD is kicking in. Lovely watch

Nice dial, reminds me of the Rolex datejust

  • Keith

  • tfreud513

I went to Thailand in 2014 and did nothing all day but lay on the beach. It was glorious.

  • Nick

The best place I’ve visited was The Brando resort in Tetiaroa, French Polynesia. This resort was just as luxurious as the resorts in Bora Bora, but felt much more secluded and less “touristy.” They were also very respective and involved in conserving the natural environment and the wildlife of the islands. In the future I would like to visit the Maldives.

  • L8foregolf

Tropik B, was thinking of the Delfin, Jason puts out a great watch either one is stellar. Not sure Hawaii counts a Tropics as I’ve been a few times, but the Turks is a place I’d love to visit.

  • Mark ZuVerink

There’s a meat little island nation at about 10 degrees south called Seychelles that’s supposed to have a very diverse native ecosystem, due in large part to very strict legislation to protect their environment. It’s supposed to be quite beautiful, and I hope to see it someday. As for my favorite so far? It’d have to be the Bahamas, because my wife and I honeymooned there.

  • Lou N

Recently visited Jamaica. It was our first time at an all inclusive resort, really enjoyed laying by the pool and lots of rum. I would like to visit Costa Rica next.

Similan Islands in Thailand is my favourite so far for sure. My next dream tropical vacation for epic diving is Sipadan, Kota Kinabalu

I would love to visit Cuba in the near future. It’s a rare opportunity to be able to visit an island that has been cut off from the corporate world and want to see it before it is modernized. Aspects like the old architecture and old automobiles driving around would amazing to see.

  • TommyEgan6

I love Halios and all of their watches. I just don’t get the bronze craze. I like using my divers in the Florida Keys, snorkeling, fantastic!

  • Pugsley

I’ve travelled to Thailand, which was a beautiful place with friendly people. I spent my days exploring the areas i was in and my nights drinking and eating in beach side bars.
I have also live on and have travelled up the north east coast of Australia, some of the beaches and reefs there are breathtaking. I’d like my next tropical adventure to be exploring Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos by travelling up or down the Mekong river. I think that would be quite the adventure.

Halios’ stuff has been consistently fantastic. Would love to head to Thailand.

  • habib

Halios watch is great. I just loved it

  • Chang-Hyun Han

My wife and I always want to visit Maldives but had no chance to visit there since we married 12yrs. ago. Maybe for 15th wed anniversary…

  • John S

Have always loved Halios watches. If I win, I would take it to Atlantis, Paradise Island, Nassau. Beautiful place. Years ago when I was there, the tour guide pointed out the Michael Jackson suite- $25,000 a night. No chance of staying there, but any room at that resort would still be great.

  • mojomarc

My wife and I frequently travel back to visit her family in Vietnam. Love it, and visiting all of the nearby countries. A watch like this would go great with these travels.

  • Ryan Bittman

Looking forward to heading to St. Maarten for some great snorkeling. The island is full of different beaches that all have there own different personalities. This Halios would be perfect for any occasion down there. Love it.

I was in St. Maarten in September of last year. It quickly became one of the coolest places I’ve ever been. Two separate worlds on one island. But more importantly, I ate the most amazing conch fritters I have ever had in my life. I need to go back (for the fritters).

  • Dean Taylor

I want to visit the Galapagos Islands some day. Since theres no way to say this without sounding like a nerd… “I like turtles”. In all honesty, I’d love to see the tortoises more than the dragons. But both would be a treat.

  • JD Ouest

Nice watch, always interested in bronze and the size looks to be perfect. I visited Rarotonga and Atutaki a long time ago – it was absolutely beautiful – everything was in bloom all year around. But, of course, what made it great was the people.

I have a Halios Delfin that I love. This would be nice to add to the collection. I had a great time in Vieques, P.R. Some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen and we were often the only people in sight.

  • Michael Kelly

For a few years I lived along the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica..A fantastic mix of Chinese, Jamaican and Latino culture…good food, great music and a nearly endless supply of “herbal remedy”. (^_^) Too bad I had to grow up and get a real job.

  • StudioXcel

With a 300m rating, I would finally need to go into the ocean instead of only seeing it from the plane in Thailand, China, Vancouver, or Honduras. Might as well buy an island in Bora Bora though!

  • Patrick M

Jamaica has always sounded pretty cool to me- nice beaches, interesting terrain, fun people, good music. I’ve been a fan of Halios and the Tropik since it came out.

  • mtnsicl

Definitely Hawaii! We went last September to Maui for 10 days and stayed at the Honua Kai resort. We dove and snorkeled Molokini Island and a bunch of other beaches. We survived the road to Hana twice. Once around the north side and once around the south side of the island. I highly recommend Honua Kai resort. There is a Dukes on the property along the beach and it’s a great place to walk down for breakfast or dinner and drinks. We have Kauai booked a couple months down the road. I can’t wait. Maybe I’ll be wearing my new Halios!

  • Simon

I’d love to go to the Whitsundays, simply because it’s in my own country and I’ve never had the chance to go there!

I would love to see more of the tropics in Thailand, as well as the beaches. Good to know this watch would survive both activities, and in style!

  • Gabe Steel

That is a sweet looking diver. The finish work on the bezel and case is stunning. Great casual, tool styled piece. As for the tropics, as an ex-pat living in the Philippines already, I would love to visit Thailand with their culture, history, food, and beaches.

  • Danny

I would love to revisit Malaysia, great food and people 😀

  • Tyler Gray

I need this watch. I never win anything so this would be a good reversal of fortune.

I went to Saint Lucia for my Honeymoon for two weeks and my wife and I loved it. Eighteen years later and we want to go back and see what it is like now.

  • Stefanos Stylianou

I’d love to visit Bora Bora to see its beauty!

I’d love to visit Sarawak again! Love everything about it!!

  • Laurens W. Floyd Jr.

    Halios and Tahiti for me

  • Upul Ratnayaka

I’d love to visit Costa Rica. I hear it’s a magical place. To see the artifacts from the Diquis culture if possible.
Nice looking watch and thank you for the chance to win one.

  • steven

I have to say Bora Bora, go lie on the beach for a week or so. What better watch for it then a Halios Tropik?

  • Lyndon Louie

Cancun, Hawaii & Bora Bora are special places for us and would be great to get back to. The Helios Tropik would be a very nice addition to my simple collection as I don’t have any watches with the Miyota movement, nor a textile strap.

  • I’m looking forward to my honeymoon in Bora Bora later this year. Anywhere in the South Pacific or Carribean is fine by me though.

  • Dr. Dunghorse

I’m looking forward to winning this watch and burning it.

  • Paul William Dow

This is probably the giveaway I’ve wanted to win most. I’ve been following Halios for a couple of years and absolutely love the brand. I feel like he is only a stone throw away from me (being a Seattlite).

    Fingers crossed more than ever.

I’d love to go to the Maldives and spend a week living over the water and diving under it. Gorgeous place, and I hear it’s sinking — bummer.

    Thanks for the opportunity!
    -Paul-

  • sicil

I would visit the Netherlands Antilles, enjoying the beach and watch the large jets land at Princess Juliana airport with this Halios diver. It’s great to dream.

  • Frederik Leon Anlauf

Loved the tropics in Domenica hiked their for a day and this watch would have been the perfect companion for the trip swimming under waterfalls and eating fresh from the tree bananas.

  • Tom Wahl

    Fantastic watch, love the brand

  • Chris Lang

If I win this, definitely will book a trip to Palawan

  • Sebastian

    That bronze looks amazing.

  • Daniel Diamond

    This bronze watch.
I would head to peru and hike to machu picchu.
    Cheers.

I want to wear this piece to Maldives before the island vanishes under the sea level

  • Kristoferer

Amazing watch. I’ve always wanted to visit the Caribbean. It just looks so beautiful.

  • dhanzhe

I always wanted to visit Belize. This is a stunning watch btw !!!

  • Brett Lintvelt

Reliable auto with classic look – ideal for casual wear on Anse Vata Beach (Noumea, New Caledonia) – spent a memorable time there in the 80s.

  • Bossman

Love the Halios timepiece. So glad that there are so many independents who make nice timepieces – Keeps our world interesting.
Would love to take this Halios to Thailand. Never been there but who knows? Maybe one day….

  • Judy Thomas

    Love that watch. I follow on FB & G+ too . judethomas21@gmail.com

  • Reueh Laup

We had an incredible time at Amédée Island in New Caledonia, snorkelling in the crystal clear waters. I’d definitely go back, people so friendly and such an unspoilt island.

  • james

Looks like a nice under the radar tool watch. I went to Barbados last year with the family and it was the most beautiful island ever. Lots of watch stores too which gives a nice break from the beach

  • Jesse LaPaire

I love it when I read the words “quality over quantity’. I am a huge supporter of small local businesses. Not only is this watch slick, but I like the roots it comes from. I have visited several tropical locations, my favourite so far is probably Jamaica. I have been there twice and the people are really what makes it. Although, St. Marteen had a great beachfront strip with great shops, but a tad of a tourist trap.

  • Manuel

I have been to St Thomas but was before I had my boys so would like to return so they could enjoy the unbelievably clear waters.

  • Leo

I would love to go to Curacao. With that watch! ?

  • David Sparks

Any of the pacific islands, Hawaii looks gorgeous, tonga, samoa. Plus there’s some rugby played on the latter two.

  • Been to the Honolulu airport. It was too hot and steamy for me!

This looks like an interesting watch I’d love to have. I like automatics, and won’t own a battery watch.

  • Andy Kollin

First off the Halios Tropik B is a handsome watch – and would look fantastic on my wrist when visiting St. Thomas! I’ve been there several times and it’s one of my favorite stops!

  • Dave Tucker

Love the watch, simple clean lines! I don’t know were it is, but that place on the postcard with the white sand, blue sea and palm trees…….

  • Evan

Nice and clean, just the way I like.

  • Nick Harrell

This is a good looking watch, been eyeing a bronze diver but they’re usually so big and steam punkish. This one is nicely proportioned and love the green w/ the bronze. We just got back from two weeks in Hawaii – the Big Island. Good fun and a really pretty place. This watch might have convinced me to leave the trusted Seiko 007 behind…

  • David Schaefer

Always liked bronze watches especially when they develop a patina. Tropic wise it would have to be Fiji. Been there multiple times for the surf, some of the best in the world.

  • Chad D

The bronze case will look great with my tan on my upcoming trip to Hawaii!

  • Dustin

The island of Maui has been my favorite. You can literally experience every type of climate on the island. The lifestyle is completely different than mainland.

  • Handk Andk

Great example of a tasteful bronze watch. I’d like to take this watch back to Koh Lanta in Thailand. Beautiful diving there.

  • Jeff Ward

The green/bronze combo reminds me the sunshine and green mountains in Oahu. Would love to have this added to my collection.

  • Maxwellllll

Interesting. I’d like to see a wrist shot of it. Very unique case shape.

  • Andrew Bright

Okinawa!! Best diving in the world!

  • Whoisi

Koh Kood, Thailand. Crystal clear water for swimming, snorkeling, scuba and etc. And trekking around the tropical island.
With this watch will be perfectly companion to enjoy the trip at Koh Kood : )

  • Audun G. Kjørsvik

Pretty watch, kind of reminds me of antique nautical instruments! Went to Phuket, Thailand about 13 years ago, before the tsunami and total touristification. Really want to go back to Thailand or another asian country. Both culture, hospitality and nature over there is in a league of their own!

  • tr143

I’d take this baby to Bermuda – rustic and a perfect setting for the bronze!

  • Gal Sh

I’ve never been in the tropics but I’ll love to visit Hawaii!

  • Seraphim Marcopoulos

Beautiful watch from a great Canadian brand. The Tropik B is as refined and elegant as all of the Halios watches released to date. As for my preferred destination, I have fond memories of in skin diving Mykonos, Greece, and the many small and pristine islands off the coast of Venezuela. I’d love to visit and dive in the Cayman Islands as I’ve never had the chance to date.

  • Evangelos Theodorou

I’m partial to the Mediterranean since I am originally from Greece. One of the best diving spots is Chios Island, Greece. The underwater caves and colorful reefs make it a fantastic place to dive. It’s very affordable compared to other locations.

  • gtbr

Whould love to take this watch to Hawaii!!

  • Ben

    Brazil! I hear it’s beautiful

  • Roger

Been to Krabi, would love to go again for the islands, beaches and the diving.

  • David

I haven’t owned a watch with a Japanese Mechanical movement yet, but I understand them to be reliable, The watch looks sporty but very understated. I would choose a different band color if given the choice. Make me a believer and let me win this watch.

  • Stanislav Pavlov

Unfortunately, I haven’t been to the tropics yet, but I strongly hope to visit a friend of mine and his family who live in Tahiti’s capital – Papeete in the not-so-distant future.

  • RS23

My favorite place in the tropics would have to be Florianopolis, Brazil. Beautiful beaches and super friendly people. The Tropik B looks like a sweet watch — thank you to ABTW for running this contest!!

  • Jason Bethune

Really like Halios designs. I think visiting Maui would be my choice. Keep up the great work A Blog to Watch and Jason form Halios.

  • Thierry

Once, as a child, I saw a reportage about Clipperton’s Island, a French territory. Since then, tropics for me means this island.
This watch looks particularly interesting to me as it should age nicely, with a splendid patina.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Mark Lewis

Never been to the tropics, would love to go to Hawaii

  • DJL

Tahiti for sure. Would love to snorkel the reef there

  • UofASouthpaw

Sooo many tropical locations on my list! I honeymooned in Jamaica. Still to do: Hawaii, Bora Bora, Fiji, Bahamas, Maldives, Costa Rica, on and on…

  • portorock

Diving French Polynesia has been a dream of mine for years, after growing up in the Caribbean and checking out spots along the Greater and Lesser Antilles

  • Jasen Lee

Extremely intrigued at the bronze version of the Tropik. I just came back from Hawaii; best part was swimming with some massive turtles.

  • JP Loinsigh

I went to Grand Cayman and loved it. The water was beautiful, the people were friendly, and the island was full of history.

  • aaw234

I was lucky enough to win an all-expense two week paid trip to Bora Bora that included a cruise. We were in an all-inclusive on Bora Bora, with our cabin’s patio 12 feet from the ocean. What a magical time and place.

  • Justin Crawley

I love the simple nautical look to this watch. Its definitely my favorite of Halios’ designs so far. I’ve never been out of the US but would love to see Tulum. The ruins and the beach look incredible (in pictures).

  • Shawn Slavik

I would love to test the Halios B snorkeling off the south coast of Jamaica!

  • Adrian Billings

I have always dreamt of visiting the Maldives, white sand, clear blue water, watersports and diving galore. Definitely on my list of must go before I die places, just a pity it’s so expensive. Sigh!

  • sam-b

I was invited to a friends wedding in Sri Lanka – most beautiful landscape, very welcoming people and awesome cooking. Nice watch of Halios by the way, I really like their mission statement!

  • I remember going on a cruise to Grand Cayman a few years ago. I had just got my first “real” job and a nice paycheck after college, so I wanted to see something special. I still remember looking over the deck of the boat to see the sunset and thinking “I’ve made it.” I’d imagine feeling the same way once I get that Panerai I’ve had my eye on 🙂

  • VandyChiver

Great minimalist look for a simple dive watch. My last tropics trip was to Puerto Rico. We hiked in the rain forest, kayaked to sand bars, snorkeled in a few reefs, and what sticks out the most was the canoe trip through the bio-luminescent bay outside Fajardo. Beautiful moonlit night watching all the lights in the water with every paddle.

  • Joel Woodward

I would love to go back to San Pedro Island in Belize. I’ve never seen more clear water or experienced such amazing snorkeling & diving. An absolutely gorgeous place.

  • Julian

A couple of years back, my family and I ended up going to the Sicilian coast. We were greeted by hospitable people, delicious food and exciting activities. Scuba diving was incredible and unexpectedly serene, and you can’t go wrong with fresh pappardelle. Amazing excperience overall.

  • Edis Zuki?

Thank you for another great watch giveaway. Great watch, like his simple look but awesome performance, not a diver but still love diver watches and their textile straps 😀

  • Bartman Hawaii

At just a few degrees south of the Tropic of Cancer, I am already in the tropics, and I am very happy here in Hawaii. My favorite place away from here which I have visited is Palau.

  • Daryl Okayama

I’d like to visit Australia mostly to see the Great Barrier Reef. I’m originally from Hawaii so the tropics are already in my blood!

  • GeoffW

Another great giveaway. I would love to head to Madagascar to see lemurs in the wild.

  • Nick P

I was fortunate enough to visit Indonesia several years ago, and loved the vastness and beauty of it, as well as the kindness of the people we met. There are so many beautiful places to see, that I would love to go back someday and explore the outer islands with the Tropik B on my wrist!

  • Alex

I would love to go back to Puerto Rico. To see Viejo San Juan and explore Isla Culebra.

  • Stephen Thode

Would love to visit Jamaica with this watch!

  • Clint Chan

i live in the philippines. lots of wonderful places to visit here. sadly, some of the best places here are out of reach for the common filipino though.

  • ZBT71

I’ve never gotten around to buying myself a bronze watch. After reading this article both the watch and its price seem like a no brainer to be my first. Whether winning or buying this would be a perfect watch for a Caribbean cruise, smooth sailing, soft breezes, warm sandy beaches, wow, I really have to get out of this house!

  • Mike

My father in law took the whole family on a cruise to the Bahamas many years ago and he recently passed away so we are going in two weeks to spread his ashes as he wished and to celebrate his life. He wore a Rolex Submariner two Tone Blue and Gold and I will be bringing a few different watches for my trip but I do not own a Bronze watch and that Halios Tropik B would be a great addition to my collection.

  • David

  • nm

St Lucia has the best mountain backdrops of the Caribbean though the cities are overrun with poverty like so much of the Caribbean.

  • cassfan3

The island of Crete! Good people great food!

  • James DeTrolio

Great watch. I’m going Sicily all the way!!! It’s a tropical climate, so that’s good enough for me. And I’d say the best food of any island in the world.

  • Mike K

Jamaica is a great place. The people and lifestyle are very relaxed and laid-back.

  • Jason Izzard

I love the remoteness of cape York, northern Queensland.

  • garantis28

The first time I ever left the country, I went to the Dominican Republic. I’ll never forget how blue the water was and being able to dine 10 feet away from the beach and watch the sun set behind the ocean was an amazing experience. I can’t wait to return some day soon!

  • mr w

I really enjoyed Singapore, especially the food, and it actually has more to see than you might think.

  • Hector

Loved the time in Costa Rica. Jungle love. This watch is ideal for any tropical location.

  • Michael Sigman

I really like what Halios does as far as simplicity in design. If I could, I’d love to see Hispaniola in the Dominican, to see where Columbus first made landfall in the New World.

  • Doug

I’ve always wanted to go to Puerto Rico. The history, culture, and materials arts of the island fascinate me, and the weather and beaches are some of the best on the planet. Watches such as the Halios have a great casual feel and are durable enough to take the odd scratch or two and the humidity that is found in the tropics, and still look great.

  • Jordan Verst

I’m hoping to make a trip down to Bonaire to do some scuba diving in the near future, I’ve heard there is nothing like it!

  • Orntwo

This time last year I was bone fishing in the Exumas and loved it. I could do that every day and not grow bored, a constant challenge, plus the ability to see the fish take the fly; and, in those moments of quiet between casts, when the fish have wandered off a bit and the guide is repositioning, you can enjoy the view: the surreal topaz and aquamarine to emerald colored water, the blue sky and a horizon that holds so many points of interest that your eyes don’t know where to rest.

  • ??????? ????????

It has long dreamed of visiting the Maldives and Cuba, because it makismalnaya far from the place where I live

  • Chilli88

I’m so in love with this Halios. Simple, solid and just gorgeous. The build quality is amazing.

  • Angas Tiernan

  • Ally Porwal

The place on my list is Mauritius, the climate isn’t too hot and the beaches and scenery look phenomenal.

  • Ken G

Love the look of that strap! Favorite places visited in the tropics? 1. Maldives 2. Fiji 3. Bali. Not necessarily in that order. Why? They’re all examples of Heaven on earth!

  • C Kun

Well, I lived in Sierra Leone for two years. That was before I got into watches, but since then I have often wondered which watch I would take if I returned. It would have to handle the pervasive heat and humidity, not to mention the antics of Peace Corps volunteer adventures and frequent dips in oceans, swamps and rivers. If I won this giveaway, I would have to let the Tropik B give it a shot. The minimalist dial is tastefully done and very legible, something that’s important when there is no electricity.

  • Gabi Balas-Baconschi

I love very much to visit 1. Bora Bora for great diving experience in sparkling turquoise water. 2 is Mexico Tulum for a nice experience with ancient Mayan history. 3 is Puerto Rico for a wonderful experience. Since I live very far away from these locations, I’ll be more then happy to have the chance to visit them.

What a cool prize, Thanks 🙂

  • Devon Greene

I’ve been to Costa Rica and Guatemala so far in my life, and they were both fascinating for different reasons. The remnants of the Mayan culture in Guatemala are particularly something special to behold!

Relaxing in Cuba sounds great in this wintry weather!

  • Zanzibar I think.

  • Bob hudson

Im drooling over the Halios Tropik B, and I want it

  • Cat Cou

Bolivia because it is so unruly.

  • David Schreiber

It’s hard to reconcile the quality of Halios watches with their exceptionally reasonable prices. The bronze of this edition adds another layer of sophistication. It’s a real looker.

  • Humphrey Mar

I’ve heard Costa Rica is amazing. Would love to go some day!

  • OmniWrench

Unfortunately many places I’d really love to visit now have “tourists are damaging it” reputations (Galapagos, or the Great Barrier Reef) so my desire to see them is torn with my desire to leave it the heck alone.

  • Elijs Dima

Cook islands are really high up there. Reason being, it’s so remote from other major landmasses – the closest things are just more islands and a looooooot of ocean. Would love to feel what the climate and biosphere there is like.

I own 3 Halios watches, and this would be a welcome addition to my stable.. Puerto Rico for me – Old San Juan is awesome!

  • Randy

I’ve been wanting a Halios for a while now, but they’re JUST out of my comfort zone price-wise. As for my tropical destination, I’ve always had a desire to see Rapa Nui and walk in the footsteps of a personal hero, Thor Heyerdahl. As for a more doable destination, Hawaii is lovely and Australia has always been another on my want to see list!

  • Uberto Brunicardi

I’ve been in Los Roques in Venezuela and I definitly I want to come back, even after make a couple of cruises for multiple caribbean islands, for me there is no other cristal clear waters like in Los Roques!

  • G L

Have had my eye on the Tropik B since its launch, just haven’t been able to slide it into the budget, fantastic looking watch! Having lived in the Caribbean and traveled throughout the region, I have a number of favorites but will say that Trinidad has been and continues to be my favorite for its culture, love of life and opportunities for mis-adventure!

  • Mahadevan Iyer

I wish i could just escape the cacophony of the city and go back to Siem Reap in Cambodia! Beautiful people, nice people and great food too!

  • Mahadevan Iyer

I wish i could just escape the cacophony of the city and go back to Siem Reap in Cambodia! Beautiful place, nice people and great food too!

  • ccc

Big fan of Halios. Already own a Delfin and would “not mind at all” to be the lucky winner here to have a Tropik B 😉 Actually, learnt about Halios a while ago here in this very same blog. Not really a diver but like beaches and my favorite place in the tropics is Cuba. But hey, I’m biased as I was born and raised there. Whoever wins this stylish diver will enjoy it I guaranteed that. Good luck to all commentators!!!

  • Beefalope

I have owned three Halios watches and still have two of them. For my money, they’re the best micro-brand watches out there.

Been to many places in the tropics, and my favorite probably is Belize because of the pristine water and gorgeous reef.

  • Ross

I have had my eye on Halios for a while and I really like what they do.
I could absolutely see myself wearing this bronze beauty the next time I go to Aruba!

  • Chester

Would love to go to Belize wearing a new Halios!

  • tgadzo

Would love to go back to Pangkor Island, Malaysia to dive their clear waters while gazing down on my new Halios! Great diving and even nicer people.

  • robbrose

I’ve been wanting to get a Halios for some time! The bronze would look amazing in the waters of Bermuda! Love the calm evenings on the beach!

  • mobb

Very nice watch! I would love to visit family in Samoa.

  • amoeba

Been liking Halios since the release of the Blue Ring.

  • Edward

Papua New Guinea, saw and eat things that, well who would have known.

  • Mike LaFountain

Would love to take with me to the Yukatan in April. Love the blue water and the Mayan ruins. Those Mayan pyramids were also used to tell time.

  • William

Nice time piece. I don’t recall seeing many offerings in bronze – should develop an interesting patina with wear. In m youth I spent some time in a few tropical locales while serving in the military. Many of the Caribbean islands offer quite beautiful places to visit and spend time. I would love to bring my family to visit some of those places. Costa Rica has always been on my list as well.

  • 730™

Would love to go back to Belize snorkeling wearing this timepiece!

  • Noah Panitch

I would love to go to Hawaii in the future. I’ve heard it’s beautiful and the beaches look amazing!

St. Thomas was extraordinary but would love to explore BVI and go back to St. Maarten

  • Mark Silgalis

The Galapagos Islands, without a doubt. The birthplace of modern biology.

  • Dodgers4Life

I just recently came back from Costa Rica and it was phenomenal. A monkey jumped on my back and stole my lunch so it was quite the adventure!

  • iBradcon

I’ve been to San Juan a couple of times. I was mostly just happy to get off the submarine, but the tour of the Bacardi distillery was interesting too.

  • Reprobus Marmaritarum

Suriname: the smallest, most ethnically diverse country in South America and the world’s most forested nation (98.3% of land area). Sounds great!

  • Yavor Zapryanov

    Kota Kinabalu seems rather nice…

  • Johnny_Z

Moorea for a surf or two.

  • diannearsenaul

Aruba, because the beaches with transparent clear water.

  • epetera

    St Maarten looks nice.

  • Ezra

Cinnamon beach, St. John. 5 miles of white sand with a teeming reef 50 ft offshore.

  • Ian Wurn

Kinda miss the diving at the island of Sipadan off the north eastern tip of Borneo in South East Asia. Lived on the Seaventures Dive Rig (A converted oil rig to a diving platform / accommodation) parked at the island of Mabul. Absolutely fabulous sunsets and gorgeous waters for diving.

    Go Latitude 4.112218, Longtitude 118.629856 for a peek. 😉

  • Cesar Castro

Puerto Vallarta, great food, plenty of nice weather, will retire there some day.

  • Wilson Meeks

A nice watch to wear in the Phillippines, where I have many friends and family!

  • Yojimbo

I’ve always wanted to go to Utila for diving, my buddy used to go and said it was awesome. If I win that watch I promise to wear it till the brass matches the colour of the strap.

this “Shipping restrictions to non-US entrants may apply” is pretty fucking funny since Halios is supposedly based in Vancouver CANADA

  • Cee

    I’d like to visit Singapore.

  • J.Harris

Antigua = superb sailing + lovely snorkeling + island time = terrific time in the Tropics.

  • Mike Fennessy

Antigua so laid back, white sand, perfect heat with light breeze, nice people, unhurried…….

  • K.M.H.

Been dying to visit St. John with the sugar sand beaches and lush forest canopies.

  • Dakota Dennison

I visited the Bahama’s for a work trip cruise and rented scooters, driving around the city down to Atlantis resort, getting chased by wild dogs in the hood, driving downtown through the hood, a great adventure for my first cruise

  • Michael Spiritis

Mokulua islands, just a quick kayak or paddle off of Kailua, Oahu. It would be nice to take a Halios back with me for another visit.

  • Harvey Rosier

St Maarten, just want to see those 747’s landing over the beach

  • DT

wow, so many to choose from, probably The Seychelles or The Maldives.

  • Chia Christopher

I would love to go to Bali, Indonesia, a beautiful island that is near my home country, Singapore.

  • Lachlan Brown

I went on a service trip to Samoa a few years back. We built a playground, painted a library and set up a few water tanks in some of the more remote villages. Not only satisfying, but such amazing food and overall such a beautiful country! I’d love to go back.

  • Darin Humphrey

Spent a week+ in the Bahamas a few years ago. Rented a house and a car. It was a blast. Would have liked to have had this then. Swam in the ocean every day. The salt water might have started a patina. Maybe I can wear this on the cruise I have planned this summer. ?

  • Fooman

Loved diving in the Bahamas, I want to dive Fiji.

  • Andy Black

Bali would be cool. Most exotic trip I’ve taken was Australia. As part of the trip we spent 4 days on a small island on the Great Barrier Reef. Went diving every day. It was pretty cool.

  • David Dandoy

I wish I could visit Fiji (and other polynesian islands), attend local rugby events there, go to the beach everyday… For such circumstances, a Halios bronze watch on a cool NATO would be perfect.

    Thanks ablogtowatch for organizing these!

  • Lee Hendricks

Worked in the Turks and Caicos Islands for 3 months. It was not a vacation but might has well have been one. Usually when you go on a vacation you come back exhausted and realizing you have over spent. Not the case in the Caicos… People there are real, not salemen. No road maps or special attire required. What you see is exactly what you get so you just have to live in the moment and enjoy the void. When I do go back I plan on spending more time under water exploring those awesome reefs and perhaps a little cave sperlunking. Essential gear: reliable time piece, sunglasses, and an attractive dive buddy.

  • Tony Dawson

I’ve been a fan of Halios ever since I bought my first auto – the Laguna. Thanks for the generous give-away! I would probably most enjoy wearing this watch in Puerto Rico where a good friend and fellow WIS lives (hey Joe!) Thanks again ABTW!

  • Dimi

Galapagos with a camera and no phone, loose track of what day of the week it is

  • OCins

Coral reefs in St Thomas are beautiful. I’d love to go back soon.

  • Tuan Smith

Love that the date numbers are colored red. Also red, the beautiful sunsets over the beaches of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. If it’s a tropic destination you’re looking for, hard to beat a place like that.

  • janim

Not exactly the tropics but the Adriatic sea has some of the most beautiful beaches and the clearest water in the world.
I wish more automatic was water resistant to 300m.

  • Aaron

The Galápagos Islands are on my short list. It would be a treat to kayak around each island.

  • Ilkka Kemppinen

Halios Tropik is my grail diver watch. I’d love to win this one.

  • Hong Kin Ng

I stay in the tropics and the most beautiful place I’ve been to is the island of gods, Bali. The rustic charm of the old cities and communities mixed w the lush greens and sandy beach is the biggest charm to the island and its no wonder ive been there thrice with my wife. I am gng again in april and would love to be wearing the halios there.

  • Arik Gurevich

Great watch from a company I’ve been watching for a while.

I’d like to visit Vietnam in the near future. Its history and present facinate me.

  • Connor Stuart

I’d love to travel to the Amazon rainforest and take a guided tour there! It’s definitely on the bucket list

  • rsaunders1

I’d love to visit Costa Rica.
    vmsaunders@windstream.net

  • John

I’d love to visit Belize someday, mainly because it was the tropical spot of which my father spoke most fondly.

  • Lyle

Absolutely love this Halios! How about a trip to the Yucatan?

  • Jayden Navarro

I want to go back to Costa Rica because I lived there for a little while when I was younger, and want to see what it’s like now.

  • J-MN

I’d love to take the Halios to the Maldives with my wife. Never been there, but it sure seems like the perfect place to totally disconnect for a bit.

  • bdeshaies

Island hopping in the Bahamas is the perfect way to enjoy life. Get your food from the sea. Drink the cheap local beer and enjoy the sun. A Halios on your wrist is a good way to look good.

  • peacesun

I’ve heard the sand in Aruba is very white and beautiful. Cancun, Mexico, is the closest I’ve been to the Tropics.

  • tob_f

I would go snorkeling on the Maldivs with the Halios.

  • karen petrychko

I would love to go to Aruba. Was there only a few hours when the cruise ship we were on put in to port!

  • evak22

I would love to go to Martinique or the Bahamas–or both.

  • Wayne

    The Maldives…looks so incredibly beautiful!

  • Arie Rutgers

Great looking watch, love the Canadian content. Dream vacation; take this watch on an African Safari with Mt. Kilimanjaro in the backdrop, then off to the Seychelles for some ocean fun.

  • Trevor Hirst

I loved going to st maartin.. Beautiful waters to dive, great food and very nice people. The mix of French and Dutch was very interesting and we got a small Hyundai that couldn’t accelerate up a small hill. Good times.

  • disqus_JxxNRIwGlM

I’d like to wear this watch to Cuba and go snorkelling with it The whole design is exquisite.

  • Jdunn

I’d love to go back to the powdery white beaches of Boracay, Philippines in style with the Halios Tropik B. Need a watch that can keep up with all the snorkeling, diving, and partying on the island; this watch will outlast and outshine.

  • jroot123

I’ve always wanted visit the Andaman Islands in the Indian Ocean. I would where this watch on that trip…

  • Chris Ranger

I would love to go to Martinique

  • James Dimauro

A very nice watch that would fit right in amongst the understated luxury of Bali Indonesia. I love this place for that exact reason, its a place of ‘sneaky luxury’. The Tropik B seems like it would suit any tourist, from pool sloth to adrenaline junky to party goer.

  • star_explorer

I have been to Panama. Such beautiful rainforests.

  • xeno_x2

I’ve been to Caye Caulker in Belize, snorkeling with giant turtles was awesome.
Would love to visit Maldives in the future.

  • Sina

I’d love to visit Maldives, it is really beautiful.

  • David Pavlovic

Nice brushed finish, would like to try it out even with deep bule and lipstic red bracelets

  • Atlee Elmont

I’ve never been to the tropics, maybe some day. I’ve heard Costa Rica is nice.

  • mihai857

I would love to see Cuba, that place just has something about it.

  • Michael Z

Nice watch, I was initially drawn to the Black SS model, but I always did want a bronze case watch as well. I would like to visit Aruba for its beaches, and was indeed planning to but now Zika has stopped that plan.

  • Gabriele

This summer I am going to visit Jamaica

  • John

For my honeymoon we splurged and spent two weeks in Tahiti, five nights on Moorea and the rest on Bora Bora. I can say that without a doubt that place is the most amazing and picturesque location I’ve ever had the pleasure to visit. We go to Hawaii or Mexico pretty much every year and those places are great but Tahiti really takes it to another level. Swimming with sharks, spending a day on a private island, jumping from your bungalow right into the ocean, all once in lifetime experiences. I only hope to go back one day with a bronze watch on my wrist.

  • JB

St John in the US Virgin Islands is where I experienced some of the best and most memorable snorkeling. Since my visit there, I’ve become scuba certified and am heading back to the USVI this summer, this time St. Croix.

  • Jason Dunn

I’d like to visit Costa Rica some day. They have some awesome birding tours in the jungle regions, and I’d like to just wander through there with a 400mm lens on my camera.

  • DC

  • wilfn

What a striking watch! I visited Cairns in Australia and loved the tropical climate.

  • Adrian Kaiser

Maceio, the capital of Alagoas, Brazil is a lovely area. It’s one of my favorites in the northeastern region of Brazil. There are many beautiful beaches which are great for snorkelling and diving. Can’t wait to get back there again.

  • Andrew

Beautiful watch. I love to have one to take to the Maldives. Sun, sand, surf and Tropik B…….

  • Alan

Love this watch! I would also love to be wearing it in Singapore — which is where I am right now on vacation. The Tropik B would be equally at home by the pool in the summer back home.

  • Graham Duncan

As soon as I receive this watch I will retire to Key West, snorkel during the day, drink Margaritas at sunset and chase girls, not in a creepy way, but in a “hey check out my cool watch, want to hang out?”, kinda way.

  • Beau9

The Caribbean is about the only tropics I’ve known so far. Plus there’s literally hundreds of islands dotted throughout the Caribbean to choose from. That’s the problem is choosing which one I haven’t visited yet.

  • whit

I’ve been to the Caribbean and Costa Rica. I absolutely loved the crystal clear water in St. Thomas!

  • J Leckie

I lived in Dakar, Senegal, for 5 years. Great nightlife, music and fresh fish every day.

  • Gerard Cardinal

I went to Aruba, which despite being in a tropical region is basically a desert. I would very much like to see Tahiti or any Polynesian or Micronesian type locations. The idea of jungles that have super giant spider crab beasties and a lifetime of Gilligan’s Island reruns has me convinced the Pacific has it all, but I’d love a pretty bronze watch like this one, so there’s that.

  • Elim Tan

My favorite holiday tropics destination is in Sabah, Malaysia, where the beaches are clear, and the option to hike up a mountain is available.

  • Ste Kerry

My favourite place to visit in the tropics is Barbados. Worth it for a trip to the cliff restaurant alone. Friendliest people I’ve ever met – some bar owner was offering to open his bar for me at 6am so I could watch the Formula 1!

  • sensemille

Mauritius.. I’ve worked with them many times and I’ve always envied them for being able to have a meeting while looking at the ocean…

  • Oc4watches

My favorite tropical destination is the British Virgin Islands, particularly Virgin Gorda and Anegada. Crystal clear water, colorful coral and reefs and great people! This watch would be a great addition to my dive/snorkeling ensemble.

  • Jesse Junkkarinen

I would love to visit Turks and Caicos! We were planning on going there for our honeymoon but something came up and we ended up going to Rome for a week instead. Me and my wife love diving and the plan is still to go there someday to enjoy the beautiful diving waters. This watch would be excellent addition for our trip to the tropic.

  • Tonepeli

Perfect watch to visit Tuscany in the summer. The green strap would match the lush green mountains of Tuscany and the bronze case would match its beautiful sun light.

  • Micha Persson

I would like to visit Saint Barthélemy, because of it historical ties to Sweden.

  • Thiago Ramos Rosa

My favorite tropical destination is Rio de Janeiro. It is without a doubt one of the the most beautiful places in the world. The beaches are great, the people are friendly, the food is delicious, and best of all my family is there.

  • ????????? ??????

The best tropical beach is in Samui island. My home town warm welcom. Nice to wear it. Appreciate that!

  • Daniel Glatt

One place I would love to visit in the tropics is Costa Rica. I hear it is a beautiful place

  • treefroga1

As a wildlife lover, I’d love to go to Costa Rica.

  • Erik Noonan

I would love to visit Dominica which is a tiny island down in the Caribbean. Loads of great hiking, friendly people, beautiful weather, and so mountainous that they can’t build a large airport which means it hasn’t been ruined by hypertourism.

  • Carlos Martinez

My choice to take my new Halios (obviously, if I win it) is Maldives, such a great place. Whenever I see the pictures, that perfect blue water, great clear sandy beaches. The second would be Guadalupe Island, within my country, Mexico, to go diving with Great White Sharks.

  • gbsaff

I’d happily take a vacation from frosty Minnesota and head back to Cairns, Australia, the first international trip I ever took. There, I’d strap on the Halios and take in the Great Barrier Reef. When I went there the first time, I was in 6th grade and was able to snorkel, but next time it’ll be scuba diving! Hands down one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.

  • Mike

In January of 2015 my wife and I went to St. Thomas, USVI and loved every minute of it. The sand, the pristine water, the drinks (happy hour all day). Next on the list is Cayman Islands, hopefully only a few years down the road. The Halios would be a perfect companion on the snorkeling trips.

  • yuchen

I would like to go to the mariana’s island. I would love to go near the deepest ocean parts of the world. The legendary Mariana’s Trench. The deep sea has always intrigued me. Therefore it would only make sense for me to visit the Mariana’s Trench. I have always been fascinated with deep sea animals as well. Considering all this. I would choose this destination. The halios would be a great companion.

    Cheers

  • Mike Dalton

I’ve never been anywhere outside of the US so I’d be thrilled to go to any exotic place in the tropics 🙂 Not picky! And hopefully I’m wearing my new Halios watch when I go!

  • Brian

Anywhere in the British Virgin Islands for me.

  • Niels Bulskov

I would love to visit Puerto Rico or Cuba. I think PR and Cuba have really interesting characteristics of American/western culture while still maintaining a strong island culture unique to themselves.

  • Insung Hwang

Borneo is amazing. A perfect mix of underwater and above the surface activities and wildlife. Beautiful scuba diving spots as well as a volcanic mountain that you can go hiking on. Lots of indigenous animals particular to Borneo as well. Definitely a place worthwhile visiting.

  • James Eichhorn

I recently returned from my first overseas trip outside of Asia Pacific and started my holiday in Belize, the plan was to purchase a Halios Tropik B and wear when diving however the watch was not released in time. My partner and I stayed in Caye Caulker and I would very much like to go back there and possibly retire on the island. The people are friendly, there is a mix of culture (Caribbean, Hispanic) and the motto “go slow” was the perfect way to get into the holiday mood. Bonus included Lobster season where they catch live lobster for you and cook on roadside bbq’s. It was my first tropical adventure and i’ve been dreaming of becoming a diving instructor there ever since!

  • Bryan Matsumoto

I’d like to take a diving trip throughout the Caribbean.

  • Patrick

I would love to go to Costa Rica. The idea of spending one day on the beach and the next in a rain forest seems too good to be true.

  • Kongsi Rezeki

    Liverpool…watching football at Anfield

  • Stefan

I would love to visit Turks and Caicos. It’s been rated the world’s top islands and the area is very beautiful.

  • Jasper

I’d really like to road trip up the great barrier reef, and re-learn scuba diving up there

  • Fran69

I would really like to visit Cuba, fascinating history and a secluded nation to a certain degree. Sit at a beach bar, mojito in one hand and the fattest cigar in the other, listening to some seductive rumba being played in the background… one day

  • Omer

I would love to take it with me to Costa Rica. I have never been, though I hear it’s a fantastic surf spot. It really is a magnificent watch. Beginner’s luck for me? 🙂

I’ve always wanted to visit the Caribbean islands

  • Ionesi Victor

I would love to visit any place in the tropics. Probably the Caribbean islands first. So help me God! with this holliday and also the watch.

  • Alex van Rensburg

I’m currently in the tropics. I’m in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania for work. I’ve been here for a week and I’ve been working so much I haven’t seen anything yet. Today is my first day off and I’m getting ready to go out and see the city for tye first time. Pretty much every Tanzanian I’ve met has been amazingly friendly and open so I’m looking forward to seeing the place they call home.

  • Viktor Gospodinov

One of the watches with great value-prica ratio. I really like that Halios uses Alu Bronze due to the development of a different type of patina

  • Aruba is our favorite place but looking to visit other Caribbean islands. Good luck to all.

  • Jason Tong

Would love to visit Puerto Rico for their rainforests. Just love being in nature and the feeling of being surrounded by lush greenery.

  • MrP

I would like to visit Germany to research vintage clocks.

  • sandmaniac3

I have really enjoyed the Carribean. The water and sea life are both gorgeous and the rum is both too notch and flowing freely. One of my best memories is just lounging on a beach, next to Jamaica’s crystal clear water, sipping run out of a jelly coconut. Although, if I win this watch, I’m planning to take it with me to Bermuda in May and make some new memories on the pink sand!

  • Aaron

I would love to go back to Cozumel for a proper dive trip. A few one-off dives over the past 5 years have really given me a snapshot of how amazing this part of the world really is!

    Can’t wait!

  • Matthew Osieja

I can’t wait to go back to puerto rico, my homeland! good weather and great people!

  • Forrest Becker

Anyplace tropical would be nice-MI winters suck. I’ve never been south of FL so I’m not sure where I would go. Hawaii would probably be nice.

  • Eugene Najera

I would like to take my wife and visit El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico with this on my wrist:-)

  • J Roy

I just got back from the southern islands of Thailand and I wish I Was still there now…
It would have been perfect to have a dive watch like this for my snorkeling! A shout out to a great Canadian watch company and all of my other fellow Canadians trying to get to the tropics to survive our winter!

  • Ah Shumaker

This is a beautiful, low key watch in a size that I love. It would be a perfect match for a trip to Belize.

  • Thomas DeLucia

  • CO

I would love to go back to the Cayman Islands with a Tropik B on my wrist!

  • douge

Was in US Virgin Islands for work last year and fell in love with the diving. Trunk Bay on St John’s Island is where you want to aim for! I’ve been researching my first real automatic watch, and would love it to be this Halios. It is a bonus to support a local Canadian product!

  • Matt L

Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands. Richard Branson is a tennis lover and supporter and i am a tennis player and plan to play his event one day at Necker Island.

  • les

Cebu in the Philippines ,very relaxed lifestyle, everything very cheap. Typhoons aside , the weather is very pleasant and the ladies speak English.

  • byo

I had my honeymoon in Maldives and had my first scuba diving which was an amazing experience. I’m still looking for an opportunity to revisit. Maybe this time with Halios Tropik B on my wrist.

  • Aditya

I went to the Maldives on my honeymoon and had a chance to do my discover scuba dive. We dove to a ship wreck, which was an absolute delight. I get goosebumps when I think of the photo ops I would have had with a patinated Halios Tropik B Bronze and algae covered ship. Love the watch and would love the opportunity to own one! I’d very happily take it with me on all my dives 🙂

If I owned a Halios Tropic during my trip around South America, it would have been the perfect accompaniment to my wrist. Whether I was diving with Hammerheads the Galápagos Islands, Flying then taking a dug out canoe before Trekking in the rainforest to see the awe inspiring Angel Falls, hiking in Terra de Fuego or partying in Rio. This watch would have done it all in style.

  • Emil Frydendal

For a while back I took a trip to southern Spain and went on a road trip to the famous city; Rhonda which is placed on a mountain. I travled with a friend and our transport was a Yamaha 125cc scooter.
I havn’t had so much fun transporting myself in a long time. All those corners and the feeling of changing temperatur all the way to the top was a awesome experience.
    A journey I can highly recommend ! 🙂

  • 1882/1996

I’m really liking the bronze watch trend right now, and I would love to take this watch to Australia or New Zealand. To me, these two places seem like they live in a world of their own and it would be a memorable experience to dive there.

  • Ashkan Garshasbi

I’d really like to road trip up the great barrier reef, and re-learn scuba diving up there

  • Doug Banker

I’d love to see the Maldives sometime soon. Why? Clear skies and blue ocean as far as the eye can see that’s why.

  • Leslie Tsoi

I’d love to visit the Maldives with my wife to celebrate our 1st anniversary, such a trip would be even better with a Halios Tropik B reminding me of my daily dram of whisky at 6pm.

Beautiful watch ! Would you consider St Thomas and St John tropical ? I have endearingly fond memories of the beaches on both, and sunset dinner on Water Island. The weather was extraordinary!

  • Anders Malm

That´s a nice watch! I would like to wear it on the beautiful beaches outside Mogadishu, Somalia. I have worked with a lot of somali refugees and they´ve shown pictures and talked about how nice the city and beaches used to be,

  • Omer

Beautiful watch, I would totally wear it to Costa Rica. I’ve heard it’s a nice surf spot. Beginner’s luck, don’t fail me now! 🙂

That would be the perfect watch for my trip to St. Martens to watch the planes from the beach.

  • Emir Karaketir

Mexico, peraly white sand and warm blue ocean

  • ?????? ?????????

Cuba, because of it seems to be the heart of everything Latino and isolation from the modern world only underlined its unique features.

  • Mktcrasher

The Maldives, because it has some crazy cool resorts that look to be situated on their own little islands. So amazing, and I would take this watch with me for sure.

  • Preveda

Lizard Island! I’ve never seen the Great Barrier Reef

  • Evnhn

I am going to Mexico in a week would have loved the watch for that trip. St John’s would be my next choice. Beautiful water and postcards views.

  • Bryan

I’d love to go back to Barbados, because I went to school there…

  • Frank

I live in Hawaii and I’m so grateful to be able to enjoy the ocean every day. The windward side of Oahu is paradise and the Halios Bronze would patina beautifully on my wrist here. Aloha!

  • JaseJP

Been looking at bronze cased watches lately. Sign me up! Anyway, for me, it’d have to be the Seychelles. It was precisely where my mind went when I thought of the tropics since childhood. Maybe I’d even have a lucky timepiece with me on my travels…

  • mikeymusic

Reef diving in the Bahamas (Harbour Island and Eluthera) was a hoot! I have a couple of bronze watches (Archemedeand Maranez) and love them because they evolve. The Halios would be a great addition.

    Eleuthera &
    Harbour Island

  • Kim Forsberg

Lovely watch! Tropics? I live in cold Sweden so I need this watch to be reminded that there are places much warmer! 🙂

  • Mike Burdine

Great watch. One can never have too many divers. I’d love to take it to St Kits. However, anywhere warmer than Arkansas in February would be great.

  • Larry Shepherd

Canada is a great outdoor destination. I’ve done many fishing trips and plan to go to Montreal for the Formula 1 race this year.

  • It’s cliché, but Hawaii sounds like a great place for a long visit.

  • Offworlder

A clean minimalist watch (a good thing) but think I’d use for a night out in the summer after spending the day at the beach or perhaps during a drive. For diving, really prefer a computer.

  • Alan Griff

Bronze watches are gaining a lot of popularity momentum.

  • Graville

    Colour suits watches

  • Chhon Mc

I always wanted to go to Hawaii, Love the culture and the beautiful beaches.

    Pearl Harbor for the history.

  • Jose Felipe Garcia Vivanco

Nice watch to go out in Riviera Maya or in Cancun, have a good dinner and then party all the time!!!

  • Yung Dracula 2000

A beautiful spot in the tropics? It’s gotta be the Seychelles islands for me. Clean water, gorgeous horizons. Just turn off that cell phone and chill out on a beach and watch the time go by.

  • Dave from IN

I grew up in south Alabama, which just about qualifies as “tropical” in my book! Notwithstanding that experience, I would like to get away to a remote tropical island for about a week with just some camping gear and a couple of good friends. Spending relaxing time in a beautiful place without the distractions of lots of people sounds like a perfect retreat!

  • Daniel Martell

Cancun! First beach trip with my wife and the kids have never been there.

  • Gregory Gregory

I would love to return to the Cayman Islands. The beautiful white sandy beaches. The perfect climate. The diamond blue water. It is one of the most gorgeous places that I have ever seen. Plus the Turtle Farm on the island is really cool! The Turtle Farm is a conservation facility that is used for raising the endangered Green Sea Turtle.

  • tony kwok

I would love to add this divers watch to my collection

  • tony kwok

I’m a fan of this design

  • Dcf

  • Joerg Pasch

and yet again a very nice watch giveaay… well the tropics…. would like to go back to Meeru Island forthe diving or Bali for the food and the diving 😉 for the future Thailand would be in order …

  • Danny

Nice new watch for diving from Halios (Tropik B) ! ! !
this is gonna be a perfect match if i use it while diving in Bali Island. . . 😀

  • John Tan

First time taking part in a giveaway. Would love to win this watch. The bronze is really nice, better looking than the steel version. I live in Singapore and travel to Thailand quite frequently. I find their small islands good for snorkeling and diving. But my favorite is still Bangkok, because I am a city guy ; )

  • Elijah

I’ve always wanted to go diving in the bahamas. I know it’s kind of stereotypical but I’ve been snorkeling in the Florida Keys and it just wasn’t very satisfying. I love the clear water of the tropics and taking a watch with me into the ocean is always a joy. Even if I don’t win, it’s been fun just to share and read other people’s responses.

  • Big Bluefin

I’d love to go to the Bahamas and go fly fishing for bonefish and permit! This would be a great watch to take out on the flats.

  • Josh

I cant wait to go to the Phillippines to discover the many islands and beautiful natural habitats! Excited for the clear blue water, hidden caves, and cliff diving!

  • Lincoln

I’ve always wanted to visit Vietnam. It’s where my family is from and my dad has constantly been asking me if I want to go, but I’m too busy as a student to make time.

  • Jared

I recently visited St. Maarten for a wedding and my wife and I absolutely loved it. Some of the clearest water we’ve ever swam in. We’re hoping to revisit soon.

  • Cuba is probably next up on my list

  • Boryueh1

Thailand is amazing. Only spent 4 days there my first trip. Could probably spend months there and still feel you need more time.

  • bert gillespie

Love the clean design would live to win it! Cayman is my next one on the bucket list would live to dive there or Cayman Brac!

  • melikegarfield

My boyfriend always talks about a trip to Puerto Rico. He really enjoyed it. His mom also travels every few years to Jamaica, so either of those would be fun. My sister just got back from Hawaii so that would be the fallback plan. I would love to dress my boyfriend with this watch for the trip 🙂

  • luvmywatches

I’ve visited several islands in the Caribbean; however, my favorite is St. Thomas Island. The island people are wonderful, the scenery is beautiful and it has a Little Switzerland store on location. Oh, and the weather is warm all year!

  • Brian Wells

I’ve been to Costa Rica, Saint Lucia, Barbados, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. I like Costa Rica the most, largely because there’s less pressure on tourists. You can just relax and enjoy yourself.

  • Anh Tuan Le

I have been to Con Dao islands of Vietnam, the hidden gem of south east Asia. Where everything is still belong to nature.

  • KWah

Would love to visit the Bahamas. Beautiful beaches, wonderful weather… what more could you as for?

  • VVVincent

First time taking part in a giveaway. Crossing the fingers!

  • Greg

    Great colour combo

  • Adam Williamson

I like the Bronze and Green.

  • D. Abraham

Bronze cases seem to be all the rage in dive watches right now, it’s nice to see an independent company execute it so well. If you get a chance, Zanzibar offers an ideal combination of history and beautiful diving that can be beat.

  • Alex

Id love to go back to Hawaii, because I loved diving there. And I can wear this watch!

  • Alan G

As a kid I read several books about early South Pacific exploration and have always felt drawn to the region ever since. I have been to Bora Bora and would love to go back, or explore some of the other less popular islands. Even though I don’t scuba dive, I was in the water every single day snorkeling and free diving. As always, thanks for the amazing giveaway.

  • Michael Herring

My first time trying for the giveaway, too. One of my regrets is that I bought a Helson Shark Diver instead of a Halios, under the mistaken impression that the finish would be of comparable quality, meanin the Helson would be better value as it was for a lower price. I really like the face of the Helson, but I have to say the finish is not comparable to the finish on Halios watches, in my opinion. A case where I got what I paid for. And, this Halios is unlike any watch I currently own so it would be a nice addition.

  • Gabriel Tinman

Something like 10 years ago i went to Morrocoy in Venezuela. What a fantastic place. Small islands one next to another make a stunning scenary. Too bad the country is having a hard time atm but Im pretty sure ill be back some time. And hoping it will be with a Halios Tropik on the Wrist…
BTW that green/bronze combo looks really nice.

  • ted

Always nice to see independent manufacturers step up !

  • Julio Yanes

I’d love to go back to Cuba. The weather is fantastic and the beaches are amazing. Definitely a hidden gem. Speaking of gems, this watch has a great color combo. First time in a watch giveaway!

  • Tristan

Well far North Queensland is always fun. I could take the Tropik B out onto the Great Barrier Reef for a little skin diving.

  • Andrew

I would love to visit Peru, hiking the mountains and obviously Machu Picchu would provide an amazing backdrop to a picture of the Halios Tropik B.

  • K. Daniel

Would love to go to the Great Barrier Reefs one day!! Just imagine diving around in the rainbow-assorted underwater paradise!!

  • Ron O’Neill

I’d happily take this with me to my only favorite place in the tropics. Grand Cayman, of course– for the watch shopping.

  • Patrick

I would love to visit the Bioluminescent Bay in Puerto Rico. Kayaking through the glowing Caribbean would be amazing and a provide a great backdrop for the Tropik B.

  • jko831

I went to a beach in Rincon, Puerto Rico and saw an octopus while snorkeling. It was pretty neat.

  • Forever Great

This watch is an exact replica of the Timex outdoors man I bought in 94 at a Walgreens back in Highschool. It ran forever, even after it sat in a drawer for years. This watch is about as appealing as a cancer diagnosis in your testicles. I’m not sure why this is even on your great website. And I’d like to wear it to any island where it could be traded for that old Timex I was talking about.

  • Belize… One of the most beautiful women I met was from there. It never worked out, but in some ways she never left me… Not often, but on occasion, she crosses my mind. I am very happy now with the love of my life, not willing to change a thing… but she had a lasting impression…

  • Normz

thailand and philipines. both beautiful countries that i want to visit again. the tropik B would fit in perfectly there. develop some nice patina as well with the humidity and partying!

  • rawfishandbeer

For me it would have to be Costa Rica. I have never been but I want very much to hug a sloth.

  • Jon Heyesen

I’d take the wife to Grand Cayman for sure!

  • Andrew Bistak

For me, it would have to be Thailand or Vietnam for that region of the world. Gorgeous landscapes, beautiful people, great weather. On the other side of the world, I would love to visit Jamaica and visit my best friend’s family that live there.

  • Jason

I’d visit Cuba. To see it before it is overrun with tourists now that US restrictions are beginning to lift.

  • Jesse

Definitely Cuba, while its still in its natural state before tourism takes over.

  • manos_de_piedra

I’d love to take it to my next trip to Maui

  • alprn.alsn

I wish to visit Peru one day. I just love the green, hills, and the machu picchu.

My favorite spot in the tropics is probably the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. After that, St. Lucia was beautiful, and I’d love to get to Bora Bora or the Canary Islands.

  • Khoi T

Visited Aruba in November. Loved the beaches, weather, and bikini clad women.

  • Benson Tran

I’ve been the Pattaya, Thailand. While it may be risque with all the strip bars and whatnot, the remote(ish) islands around there are great.

  • Luke Falkenholm

    Maybe the Cayman Islands

Hawaii (big island) Captain Cook is wonderful water and snorkeling.

Would love to visit the Fiji Islands. I grew up there but it would be amazing to go back. This time as a tourist and stay at the fancy hotels and beaches that were zoned off to tourists only.

  • Bernie C

The Maldives. Pristine white beaches away from everything!

  • Jeffrey Hope

Maui no ka oi! Been visiting for years for the warm breezes, incredible sunsets, and ever-flowing mai tais. Nowadays it’s the music and culture that really draws me back. Aloha!

  • Chris Nibert

Maldives, beautiful beach and crystal clear water. Perfect for the Halios to go swimming in!

Love to visit El Nido again in the Philippines! Even better if I’m diving with this watch while there!

  • Justin

I’ve been to St. John (USVI). Would love to go back again!

  • Mansur Khan

Been to the Cayman Islands and the Bahamas. Enjoyed the crystal clear/blueish water and the amazing snorkeling spots.

  • William Usnick

    Place: Koh Samet, Thailand.
Why: the island is in a national park, so there is very little development (relative to Phuket or Koi Samui). The beaches are unreal and the vibe is very laid back. Riding scooters across the one main road on the island is also a blast, but be careful – I took a dive in the middle of town. Luckily I was wearing a g shock, so only thing damaged was my ego.

  • chris casaus

Great brand. Not a huge fan of bronze cases but this case and dial are beautiful together.

  • Paulius

Id love to visit Cuba someday. It sounds like a really fun pace. Oh and the Tropic looks awesome. I had a steinless steel version a while ago. Great watch.

  • Steve Wiens

    Place: Cabo san lucas Mexico

Halios is one of my favorite brands of small batch watch makers. I would love to get an opportunity to try a bronze watch from them.

  • eric goodlock

Always wanted to own a Halios watch, but they have always been slightly out of reach. Love the Tropik series.

Thanks A Blog To Watch and Halios

This watch is great. I helped my sister buy this watch for my Brother in law who survived a cancer battle a few years ago. He is doing great and so is the Tropic! I met Jason last fall in NYC at a watch convention. Great guy and a great company. Happy for his success.

  • Tan

Been living in Singapore all my life and would definitely stay here in the future as well! The only downside staying here is that you never get to experience the four seasons, but hey! A clean, sunny island all year round is always a yes trade off to me!

  • Wow, this is one of my favourite watches, please, please please! I’m from the Great White North but currently live in the tropics, Play Blanca, Panama. Life could be tougher. However, my favourite tropical place by far is the Maldives. Heaven on earth!

  • David Ward

A resort in the Bahamas or Jamaica sounds amazing, I would love to fly down there or take a cruise down there!

Luang Prabang, the gem of the Mekong River. This not-so-well-known town used to be referred to by the French as the Royal residence of Laos. I’ve just returned from holiday through Laos and would recommend anyone looking for a peaceful, quiet retreat explore this amazing town and area (Kuang Si Falls for example). My birthday is on the 28th of this month and this would be a great watch to win! Cheers

The British Virgin Islands have been on my radar for a long time! I’ve been working hard for the past 5 years to save up paid days off and money to be able to go. I can’t wait to go diving with the beautifuly clear, warm water, and amazing marine life. Like Rhone National Marine Park. The adventuring in the caves and jumping from island to island looks incredible. “Hopping” to plan it for this year. Anyone who loves the warm sun, adventuring, diving, and living in a bathing suit for every occasion couldn’t refuse such a blissful site for sore eyes. If it’s not on your list yet PUT IT ON THERE!

  • COLIN JACKSON

I went to Key West once and was able to get to see The Wailers with Ziggy Marley on the southern most continental beach in the USA. It was such a magical night, even though I lost my phone into the ocean!

Our favourite tropical getaway is probably Thailand. Beautiful nature, lovely people and very cheap to boot! My top memory is when we went diving near Koh Phi Phi and came face to face with a black tip reef shark. They were around all day but this guy just shot over a reef right at me and I was glad we were underwater, so I didn’t embarrass myself :)) Thanks for all the tips guys.

  • Mark

  • Shiyin Zhu

Went to a private secluded island off the Bahamas called Hummingbird Cay on a tropical ecology trip. The lack of tourists (and inhabitants) meant that all of the nature there was absolutely wild, untouched, and stunning. Not a single footprint on the beach… Dreaming of it ever since.

  • BarracudaRon

Costa Rica, white sand beach, crystal clear water. There in ’91, wanna go back so bad!

  • R A Miller

My dream is to make a visit to Mas a Tierra, the island where Robinson Crusoe was a castaway. Fly in from Chile and land on the island’s little airstrip. Then stay in the town of San Juan Batiste before traveling north to find Robinson Crusoe’s cave. In Cumberland Bay, go scuba diving down to the wreck of the German light cruiser Dresden. And do all of this while proudly wearing my new Halios Tropik B of course!

  • Jason Howard

My wife and I go to Brazil every year to visit her family, but on my bucket list is to visit Fernando de Noronha. I’d love to take this Halios Tropik B with me to act like I care what time it is while I’m there…

  • brewil

I spent a week in Diu on the West coast of Gujarat in India. It was previously a Portuguese colony. Fresh Fruit, warm water, fruit bats flying at night in huge numbers and kids in full karate outfits practising in the ruins of the old governors mansion. A weird and amazing place.

  • Matthew Effner

My favorite place is Bali….would love to be there now..

I see a few comments mentioning Thailand, makes me appreciate having this place as my home. I would however love to visit the Maldives.

  • JosephJabez

I would like to visit Terengganu, east coast of Malay Peninsular in Malaysia. Watching turtles nesting is such a meaningful dream as I may able to witness the reproduction activities of a tropical specie.

  • David A Rainey

I have been to Nassau. Dirty town that is. I wouldn’t mind seeing the British Virgin Islands though.

  • David Fisher

I’ve been to Koh Samui for a holiday and had a great time there. Thailand in general is a place I would recommend visiting to anyone who wants to experience an amazing culture in a beautiful tropical land.

  • Chris

I’ve been several places in the tropics, including Venezuela, Colombia, the caribbean, but I’d really love to go to the Philippines, where my mom is from. I hear the provinces are amazing, with beautiful beaches that are relatively off the beaten path, and I rich culture.

  • Sifion

It’s easy, i can mention both. I have lived briefly and visited Singapore and would love to go back there a third time. that city is absolutely beautiful and a great place for a watch lover, as for a place i would like to visit that would be the Fernando de Noronha island, a marine life sanctuary in the cost of Brazil, a calm beatiful island with great beaches and great diving places, would be an awesome place to start the patina of the Halios.

  • George

Would love to have this on my wrist while sipping a cerveza in the Gulf of Mexico just watching time go by.

  • Drew Bauman

I respect the indy brand and their models, but this particular model has the appearance of an oversized casing IMO. Unless of course that is the intention.

Aruba was and is a beautiful place. This is a nice watch however I’d put a leather band on it.

  • Grammatis

I will be going on my honeymoon in just a few months – I’m excited to go to Aruba for my first time!! I went on a cruise as a teenager, we stopped in Belize and I can still remember how blue the water in the lagoon was – and just beyond the lagoon a small storm against the bright blue sky – it was amazing!! I hope Aruba brings just as many great memories.

  • Eric Stark

St. John’s is a place I have always wanted to go. The relaxing stories truly make it sound like paradise. A friend told me when she was there the rum was cheaper than the water. Maybe I’ll get there next year for my 50th.

  • Timothy Sou

I would love to visit Maldives. I’ve seen so many pictures and heard from many friends about how beautiful it is. Hopefully sometime in the near future I will be able to go.

  • Jason

I really like this watch and I’d love to take it to Jamaica, where I was born but have never been back to in 40 years (since I was 2). I really like what Halios is putting out these days.

  • GG

I would love to visit Old San Juan with this watch. The color and shape of the case would match the city’s architecture, and the 300m rating would ensure that it could take any and all aquatic activities

  • eom

I would love to bring the Halios to Cuba, I think both me and the watch would have a great time there.

  • smoothsweeper

I’ve had my eye on Bora Bora for a while (or any place in Polynesia for that matter). Just looking at those little islands in Google Maps calms me down, so I imagine actually being there would be even better! Very nice looking watch. Beautiful color combinations.

  • Stan the man

I want to take this watch to the Florida Keys where I went scuba diving a couple of years ago. A beautiful watch for a beautiful place.

  • Federico Edoardo Patruno

I’d like to take this watch in mozambique or cuba.

  • Brady Cakes

Heard one of the prettiest beaches in Vieques. Would love to go there with this sweet watch.

  • Jordan

A nicely patina’d bronze Halios would fit right in on the streets/beaches of Cuba. As Always thanks for the opportunity to win an excellent watch!

  • Justin Park

Never been to the Caribbean, but my colleague raves about the Keys on quite a regular basis. In fact he’s going out there later next month. So I’ll probably start my Caribbean experience there. And while I’m not big on taking pictures, I’d delight in recounting the adventure with this beautiful time piece instead.

I went to Sri Lanka a couple of years ago and it was absolutely awesome.

  • MM

Love the brand and the diving

  • Mikhail Z

This watch is going to be a great base for some mods. Also, I have never had bronze cased watch, so I wonder how it will handle any sorts of aggressive liquids – acids, alkali and such. I certainly hope to win this one!

  • Romuald Horvath

  • David

Regards From Spain!. I need a Bronce watch in my collection, and the Halios its a great watch to add.

  • Igor

Anywhere is south america! Ecuador perhaps. Would love to get away from my city lifestyle, explore the outdoors. I get a bit of that here in Ireland, but not as much as I’d like.

  • Craig Tough

The Halios reminds me of the new Longine COSD, but with a little more character. For me the tropics destination would be south east Asia. Laos, Thailand, Vietnam. The kind of places you don’t want to come back from.

  • tknospdr

I can’t remember if I already entered or not, sorry if I already did. I’m old and senile. As such I need this watch to remind me what time it is. Right now it’s time to go to Key West.

Vancouver is a great city. I’ve been there many times and it would be awesome to sport an indie watch produced within its limits.

  • James Michael

West Coast of Costa Rica is calling. I’d look great on the beach or in the Rain Forest with my new Halios Tropic B. Time isn’t that important in the tropics, but style is never forgotten.

  • Gregory McRae

Barbados. 35 years ago as a teenager I visited Folkstone Underwater park and marine reserve. It was my 1st experience snorkeling and I’ll never forget it. I look forward to going back again in the near future. I can only imagine snorkeling there again with the Halios Tropik B on my wrist. That would be unforgettable.

  • Aaron Ramjas

    Love bronze.

  • Soosh

It’s going to be interesting to see all these bronze watches in about ten years. I wonder if we will be able to tell the difference between the fake patina and the real patina.

  • Greg Hall

To the Maldives before they disappear

  • mohammed fadil ashraf

  • DS

There is something “vintage Citizen” about this watch that interests me. If you look at Citizen’s
automatics from the 60s and 70s, the hands are similar. I would love to take it to Vieques, Puerto Rico.

  • Brett

That bronze case would look great in the Jamaican sun.

  • Unkdub

Anywhere right by da beach! You can have your true tropics–I’ll take the gulf coast Texas Tropics over Zika any day of the week.

  • HEPee

Would love to visit Cuba with this watch. It’s style is very laid back, simple with no frills design which I love to wear on trips. A trip isn’t meant for me to flash my watches, so this is the perfect one for me, especially in Cuba, where everyone seems chill and relaxed. Wear a Rolex would be way too “loud”.

St John in the dead of an NYC winter…

  • Joseff

Koh Samui, quiet beaches and awesome food!

  • Rust

Costa Rica is a place I’d love to visit.

  • C_Top

Visiting St. Lucia is on my travel bucket list. The Tropik B with a blue sunburst dial is my favorite, but you can’t go wrong with any of them.

  • CubicU07

I live in the tropics. Singapore specifically. But if I had to choose, I’d probably visit Vietnam again.

  • Edwin Hianchuan Ong

Bali is an amazing place that I love and keep going back to, I could easily spend 2-3 weeks there as it has everything!

  • Gregory Jutzy

Bora Bora. My friend got married there and it looked unlike any place my Montana raised mind had ever seen. Not gonna feel complete till I go there. A bronze watch would put a cap on the trip.

  • Mark Kache

Belize, great scuba, great fishing, and with the halios tropik, clearly a better time!

  • Aaron Thompson

Tahiti and Cancun are at the top of my list of places I’d like to visit in the tropics. This brass cases Tropik would be a great wrist companion there!

  • David E.

I’ve always been a big fan of minimalist style watches … The time accompanied with a date or GMT function and good lume is my idea of a great watch. I’ve also never been partial to watches that weren’t stainless or black … But this watch looks great! It’s warm tones are fitting characteristics for a watch named Tropik. My wife and I visit Mexico frequently .. From the lime orchards and sugar cane fields of Veracruz to the white sand beaches of Cancun … The beauty of the mountains, jungles, and beaches is something to behold … But they are beautiful because of their simplicity … They are beautiful because they are how they were intended to be. The Halios Tropik B would be a great companion to share the journey with.

My Tropik SS is a fantastic watch, and I’ve been lusting after the Tropik B as well recently.. I would love to take both of them to to Hawaii, and put them to use in the manner (or at least something of the manner) in which they were meant.

  • Adrian

I enjoy discovering the stunning coral reefs of the Parque Marino Nacional Arrecifes de Cozumel, part of the world’s second largest coral reef and home to an important ecological sanctuary in the Caribbean. The Tropik B would be a welcome companion to my dive trips.

  • Colin

Travelled to the French side of St. Martin/St.Maarten. One of the most serene places on earth. Amazing food and beaches, and wonderful snorkelling (better than Oahu). Hope to be able to go back soon

  • Brian

Any one of the Virgin Islands would be great.

  • DocSanti

I would go back to the beaches of Palawan , the Philippines . Stopping to visit the underground river
one of the wonders of the world .

  • bluzer

Saving up to make it to the Mayan cities of Central America. The Tropik would be perfect and prevent the leather strap on my other watch from getting ruined by the humidity!

  • David Mike

Love to add a Halios to my collection! Love the overall design and the bronze case!

  • Brian Vogelsang

I’m visiting Costa Rica now and loving it. Manuel Antonio has an amazingly beautiful national park.

  • M1lhomens

  • Ivan

Fantastic watch, comfortable, unique and the best customer care.

  • Nilton

I must take this with me when I visit my birth place East Timor for the first time in 40 years and go swimming at Tutuala Beach.

  • Bryan

While my honeymoon in St. Lucia is a favorite, Queensland in Australia and the Great Barrier Reef is a close second! Wonderful locations, wonderful people.

  • Declan Gray

I would love to visit fiji , especially with this watch on my wrist.

  • John

Fiji would be incredible. I think by looking at pictures, it’s pretty self-explanatory why it’s talked about so often when it comes to tropical vacation spots.

  • Peter A

I’d love to visit ‘James Bond Island’ in Phuket, Thailand. I love the older Bond movies and ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ (1974) was one of my favourite episodes. Scaramanga’s hideaway was located there in the movie. Seriously, there’s an island in Thailand named after James Bond.

I wanted to buy a Tropik B last year when I was on holiday relatively close to Vancouver (compared to Europe at least), but unfortunately it was out of stock. Now I’m really happy to have the opportunity to win one. Thanks to Halios & the ABlogtoWatch Team for the giveaway!

  • I’d like to go back to Narnia….you know…time is just standing still when you come back from the closet. @bolscomedy

  • avisluna

I’d love to walk through old Havana wearing this watch…

  • dennis

Any where in the South Pacific , a good place to break in any dive watch.

  • Mark K.

St. Croix, USVI. White sand beaches, palm trees and a rum distillery! What more can you ask for? Oh, and great diving/snorkeling too.

  • Harold Buttolph

Great looking watch. I love St. Thomas, have been there several times.

  • i would love to visit back to Goa. I love the beaches over there

  • Ollie

Dominica! Absolutely loved that place. Besides the beautiful landscapes and seemingly unlimited streams of rum, the people there are just perpetually happy and welcoming. Never a sad face and always enthusiastic and fun! Phuket was also fantastic – more for the endless empty beaches that are more beautiful than you can believe.

  • Steven Servantez

Bora Bora. Hands down the most beautiful place in the world. It is so laid back, you don’t need a watch because time is irrelevant.

  • Bader Mohd

this watch is amazing!!!!!!! I would like to visit goa

  • Jw

I would love to have this on my wrist when going back to Aruba.

  • Kevin Demsky

Clean lines, great proportions. Nice watch. I would love to visit Costa Rica. Perhaps one day.

  • Bryan

Costa Rica is an amazing place to travel.

  • Luigi

This is a fantastic bronze piece and what I love about the brand is their focus on quality versus quantity. I keep my collection to a bare minimum and this particular watch would be an amazing addition to a small and meaningful collection that is comprised primarily of special gifts from my wife, children and inherited vintage pieces. Thank you for sharing this article for the opportunity potentially own such a beautiful piece. Cheers to Halios!

  • Matt

My Grandfather was stationed on Enewetak Atoll during WWII, and was part of the unit that built the airstrip there. It’s not very touristy, but it would be amazing to see the history there.

  • Dimas

Take it diving to the shipwreck of USS Houston in Sunda Strait, Indonesia. The ship was sunk in 1942 during the battle of Sunda Strait

  • timh

Great watch…would love to take it back to Maui.

  • Rocky Scaletta

My favorite place in the “tropics” is Key West, Florida. I love the water and the laid-back attitude of the locals. (Although I think it might be technically subtropical.)

  • Wahyu Setianto

I’ve been planning to travel to Bagan and other places in Mandalay State, Myanmar. Mandalay is one of the places on earth that’s passed by Tropic of Cancer line. So it would be great to take a wrist shot with Tropik B on a Tropic of Cancer line.

  • Whakeback

The song by Right Said Fred……
I’m too sexy for my shirt
    Too sexy for my shirt
    So sexy it hurts
And I’m too sexy for Milan
    Too sexy for Milan,
    New York and Japan
And I’m too sexy for your party
    Too sexy for your party
No way I’m disco dancing…………This watch is:
I’m too ugly for my wrist
If I win this watch I’d have to give it away….

  • Juned Patel

    this is so cool!!

  • Steve Solomon

A very simple yet functional design! From the waterproof description I think it would serve well in my favorite tropical destination, Cancun. We enjoy Cancun because of its proximity to Texas, clean white “sea-shell sand” beaches, and the beautiful turquoise water! Thank you.

  • Jim Davis

That would dress up nice with a leather strap!

  • Will Stark

Would love to take that watch to Costa Rica

  • Jeff Negrin

The design of this watch is lovely in its simplicity. The bronze case is very, very compelling. I’d be thrilled to add it to my collection and wear it on my next jaunt to Caneel Bay on the island of St. John in the US Virgin Islands. The resort is first class, and the island is much, much quieter than it’s bigger neighbor St. Thomas. The most green/blue water you’ve ever seen, houses amazing snorkel and scuba opportunities. Would love this to be the start to my new Tropik’s natural patina. Good luck to all, but mostly to me!

  • K7

That would make a lovely gift for a friend of mine.
