With the recent revamping of its product lines, Breitling has begun to focus its designs far more on its own heritage. The majority of these new historically influenced designs look back to the brand’s heyday of the ‘50s and ‘60s, and for its latest release Breitling has blended cues from throughout the history of its most iconic model for the new Navitimer Automatic 35 women’s collection. The four references of the Navitimer Automatic 35 collection offer a variety of different base metals and dial treatments, all keeping the core design spirit of the Navitimer intact.

As the name suggests, each version of the Breitling Navitimer Automatic 35 begins with a 35mm case in either stainless steel, 18k red gold, or two-tone finish. The overall lines are classy, compact, and sporty, but the real focal point is the distinctive beaded bi-directional slide rule bezel. This Navitimer hallmark traces back to the classic Navitimer Ref. 806, making this case instantly recognizable even from a distance.

Each case style of the Navitimer Automatic 35 offers unique dial options, but the basic forms at play remain consistent. Inspired by the Navitimer Ref. 66 of the ‘50s, the pointed sword hands and red arrow tipped seconds hand maintain a simple and sporty mid-century feel. From there, each model explores in unique directions. The base stainless steel model can be outfitted with a sunburst dial in navy blue or bright copper, both with steel baton markers and hands, or as a silver sunburst with rose gold accents. In addition, the stainless steel case can be optioned with a dial in white mother of pearl with diamond markers. The two-tone steel and red gold case also offers a white mother of pearl dial with diamond markers, while the red gold-cased model also features the same. This variety of case and dial combinations allows the simple design of the Navitimer Automatic 35 to run the gamut from sporty and discreet to standout luxury, all while keeping a signature Breitling profile.

Each variant of the Breitling Navitimer Automatic 35 uses Breitling’s ETA based Caliber 17 automatic movement. These three-hand powerplants offer COSC-certified chronometer accuracy, along with a 38-hour power reserve and smooth 28,800 bph sweep.

Breitling offers the Navitimer Automatic 35 collection on a vast array of strap options. Stainless steel-cased models can be had with an alligator leather strap in a color complementing the dial (blue for blue dials, tobacco brown for the copper dial, and burgundy for both the silver sunburst and mother of pearl dial options), fitted to either a pin buckle or deployant clasp. In addition, these models can be paired with a multi-link Navitimer bracelet in stainless steel with a signed folding clasp. The two-tone case variant, on the other hand, is paired with either a matching two-tone Navitimer bracelet or a brown alligator leather strap with either a pin buckle or folding clasp. Lastly, the red gold-cased model is mounted on a choice of either a red gold Navitimer bracelet or a brown alligator strap with matching red gold hardware. In addition, all models can be ordered with two additional optional alligator straps in green or golden brown.
