Lapizta Audax, on wrist

Lapizta Audax, on wrist

The use of black-painted hands reduces visibility a bit. As I said, I think this is more a summer watch than a hard-core dive instrument. Lume is single-layer and OK:

Bezel is non-lumed, unidirectional with (I think) 96 clicks.

The infinity symbol references their “Infinite Passion” slogan and also a racetrack. ‘Lapizta’ is derived from the Spanish ‘la pista’ (racetrack). They tie that to ‘infinite passion’ by saying that the racetrack/infinity element symbolizes “the bold, extreme and passionate world of racing.”

If you want a solid quartz watch that can take water and abuse, this is one to consider.

At $450, it’s a splurge summer watch compared to something like the Swatch Scuba. I like that they make two sizes and five colors, and I also like the bold and cheerful color schemes. This is a “go have fun!” watch. lapizta.com
