High-speed precision instruments and cool wristwatches will always go well together. The Elegantsis JX65AS-JSK is a mechanical watch with the heart of a custom motorcycle and the brand has recently launched their Kickstarter campaign to a crowd of eager supporters. Developed in partnership with JSK Moto, an award-winning custom motorcycle design company, the Elegantsis JX65AS-JSK delivers an aggressive look with a reliable movement plus a range of colorways and strap options. Already surpassing their funding goal, Elegantsis is proud to announce the JX65AS-JSK and aims to bring watch enthusiasts a fun and well-designed watch with plenty of personality.

It’s worth noting that the collection is also quite diverse and the JX65AS-JSK can be found in both the ‘Classic Series’ and the limited ‘Rarity Series’ along with the newer ‘Basic Series’ models, which utilize a Seiko NH35 movement instead of the Sellita. However, all models draw inspiration from JSK Moto’s newest creations: Cobalt Storm and Rhodium Omega and its signature works: Chocolate Slider and Ivory Comet. “We’ve been excited about this collaboration with Elegantsis to create the JSK65AS-JSK series, because it brings together what both teams do best,” says JSK Moto founder Samuel Kao. Above all, the watch is also geared for those seeking value, especially considering the high quality Sellita SW200-1 beating inside.

The case of the Elegantsis JX65AS-JSK comes in at 47.5mm, which is both large and complementary to the dial. Water resistance is 100m and a large crown allows for easy manipulation of the movement in most situations. The crown is also unique in the way that it’s inspired by JSK Moto’s fuel cap design. Other appointments include a sapphire crystal, AR coating, and a screw-down caseback that also aids with water resistance.

The JSK Moto-inspired design also carries on into the dial. Instead of implementing a plain skeletonized look, the brand chose to design the dial with an aesthetic that follows the look of JSK Moto brake disks. It opens up a bit at around 4:30 to reveal a large date window, which displays the current date at 6 o’clock and shows six other days in advance. Naturally, the brake disk dial follows the watch’s colorway and the hands and markers feature applications of Super-LumiNova throughout. The hands, date window aperture, and hour markers are also thoroughly brushed, which makes for a sporty look that contrasts nicely with the bezel.

Currently, the limited ‘Rarity’ models come with premium packaging that includes a multi-tool, rubber strap, wrench tool key fob, double-headed watch repair spring bar tool, extra spring bars, and an international 2 year warranty card. The straps are made of Italian vegetable tanned calfskin leather and have been fitted with a heavy-duty buckle for maximum comfort and security. Whether you choose the leather or rubber is completely up to you but both options are equally sporty and and match the look of the Elegantsis JX65AS-JSK perfectly.

As mentioned previously, the movement in the Classic and Rarity models is the Swiss made Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement. It’s reliable and with the Sellita, Elegantsis is offering the highest quality possible in this price range while setting themselves apart from other Kickstarter projects. Besides featuring hacking and hand-winding, the movement operates at 28,800 bph and provides the wearer with around 38 hours of power reserve.

There’s a lot to consider when you look at all of the Elegantsis JX65AS-JSK collections. No matter what you choose, you’re sure to find yourself with something distinct and high-quality on your wrist. The Elegantsis JX65AS-JSK campaign is still live on Kickstarter but not for long and delivery is set for mid-December – just in time for the holidays. Super Early Bird pricing for the Classic collection is $569 and $699 for the Rarity collection. The recently added Seiko NH35-based Basic Collection watches have Super Early Bird pricing set at $269jsk-elegantsis.com
