Since its introduction in early 2020, the H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner series has built itself a sizeable following amid the white-hot integrated bracelet sports watch field. Sporting the brand’s trademark blend of playfully luxe minimalism and world-class movement work alongside a sleek Streamline Moderne-inspired form, the Streamliner series has made a name for itself as H. Moser & Cie.’s sportiest offering. For its latest release, the brand takes this sporty ethos one step further by collaborating with world-famous street style-influenced sportswear brand Undefeated. The new limited edition H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Chronograph Undefeated brings a darker, more aggressive edge to the brand’s integrated design, complete with a strikingly left-field new dial treatment.

Measuring in at 42.3mm-wide and 14.2mm-thick, the H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Chronograph Undefeated shares its stainless steel case design with previous Streamliner chronograph offerings. However, this familiar shape takes on an aggressive new dimension in images with the addition of a dark gray DLC finish. While you’d be forgiven for thinking this darker, more muted case was titanium at first glance, the new graphite gray coating achieves a similar look in photos without the trouble of replicating the Streamliner’s delicate mix of sunburst brushed, recessed matte, and mirror polished surfaces in that notoriously difficult-to-finish metal. Outside of this new finish, however, the cushion case is functionally identical to previous models outside of a small Undefeated logo engraving flanking the sapphire display caseback. H. Moser & Cie. rates the Streamliner Chronograph Undefeated for a respectably sporty 120 meters of water resistance.

The dial of the H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Chronograph Undefeated is its most dramatic departure from previous iterations. The brand refers to the unique textured lacquer finish as Black Tiger Camo, referencing one of Undefeated’s signature patterns. The chaotic, deeply grained brushed surface offers a broad array of small segments arrayed at various angles across the dial surface, creating a wide variety of gray tones and textures. While undoubtedly complex and finely crafted, this gray mélange dial finish may prove divisive, with some enthusiasts likely to claim that the small grainy segments making up the dial surface give the design a resemblance to metallic particle board in images. H. Moser & Cie. tops this surface with its signature fumé lacquer effect around the dial edge, allowing this mix of gray hues to fade to a deep smoke gray for greater visual depth in images. The brand keeps this moody monochrome treatment intact with the rest of the dial design, with a ghostly gray printed logo at 12 o’clock, a medium gray outer tachymeter scale, and darker variants of the line’s unique truncated handset along with matching central chronograph minutes and seconds hands. The Streamliner Chronograph Undefeated abandons some of the Streamliner series’ stark minimalism in images with its applied Arabic numerals at 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock, and 9 o’clock, along with an applied polished Undefeated emblem at 12 o’clock. This emblem might be a source of some confusion for those not familiar with Undefeated, however, as the company’s logo uses a stylized version of the traditional tally mark for five.

H. Moser & Cie. powers the Streamliner Chronograph Undefeated with the HMC 902 automatic flyback chronograph movement, developed jointly by the brand and movement specialist AGENHOR. In contrast to the smooth simplicity of the case, the HMC 902 is gloriously intricate when viewed through the caseback. The movement features a dazzling array of bridges, levers, and plates in finishes ranging from simple brushing to Côtes de Genève, polished anglage, perlage, and various shades of gray PVD in images. This complexity isn’t just for show, as the movement contains a number of unique innovations including the tulip yoke for engaging and disengaging the chronograph, the unorthodox horizontal friction-wheel clutch, and the tungsten winding rotor mounted between the movement and the dial to avoid obstructing the wearer’s view. In terms of performance, the HMC 902 offers a solid if unspectacular 54 hour power reserve at a 21,600 bph beat rate. H. Moser & Cie. completes the watch with a matching graphite gray PVD-coated variant of the Streamliner series’ signature flowing integrated stainless steel bracelet.

With a moodier, more complex visual execution and a new street style-influenced edge, the new limited edition H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Chronograph Undefeated offers the line’s sportiest and most unique execution to date. Only 76 examples of the H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Chronograph Undefeated will be made, and the watch will be available on June 22 from H. Moser & Cie.’s e-commerce platform and selected Undefeated retailers. MSRP for the H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Chronograph Undefeated stands at $55,000 as of press time. For more details, please visit the brand’s website.
