The three-hand Model 1 offers a similar wrist feel to the Solo, but trades the classic Solo styling for something a touch more modern and a bit less military in its aesthetic. In either the black or the white dial, the Model 1 looks great with its inlaid markers, legible black hands, anti reflective sapphire crystal and new crown guard design (see photo below).

With 22 mm lugs, the Model 1 can make use of Bremont’s extensive line of aftermarket strap options and the display case back offers a view of the Bremont BE-36AE movement. While the BE-36AE, which is based on the ETA 2836, may be essentially the same movement found in watches like the Solo, the MBII and the Supermarine, Bremont has included their anti-shock protection and a custom Bremont/Boeing rotor.

The production Model 1 will vary slightly from the the pre-production model shown in these photos. The final version will see the date moved to four o’clock and a chapter ring added to the outer perimeter of the dial.

The Bremont Boeing Model 1 will be available later this year with a list price of $5,450 USD. For the money, we think it looks great and represents another evolution in Bremont’s history. With the connection to another giant in the aerospace industry and the application of some seriously hardcore metals in the case production, the Model 1 is an appealing additional choice to the would-be  Solo or  MBII buyer.

With so many past military-only models for pilots that fly Boeing aircraft, the Model 1 is a chance for civilians to get in on the action and appreciate Bremont innovating via their own signature style. bremont.com
