Sinn 910 SRS Flyback Chronograph First Look

Continuing its 910 collection of interesting chronographs, Sinn has released the Sinn 910 SRS Flyback Chronograph for Baselworld 2018. Fans of the brand will likely recognize the resemblance to the 910 Anniversary Split-Seconds released at Baselworld in 2016. The 910 collection is Sinn’s way of displaying their usual innovative nature by providing interesting complications in a chronograph setting. The Sinn 910 SRS Flyback provides, as the name would imply, a flyback column-wheel chronograph, with the same striking looks many fell in love with on the 910 Anniversary edition two years ago.

Analysis

I was absolutely smitten by the looks of the 910 Anniversary in 2016, and the 910 SRS Flyback retains many of the design elements found in that watch. Still present are the cream dial with red accents, three register display, and an interesting chronograph function. However the 910 SRS Flyback, unlike the anniversary, is not a limited edition, and comes in at a slightly cheaper price point. I think this design is an absolute knock-out. While I wouldn’t consider myself a chronograph guy, this is a watch I’m already lusting after. Sinn has become known in the watch community for their relentless efforts to pack as much technology into their models as possible, so it makes sense that they opted to make this model a flyback, rather than just an ordinary chronograph.

Summary

While being different from the tool & dive watches the brand is often recognized for, the design language on the SRS Flyback is undeniably Sinn. The watch is certainly no slouch on the bracelet, but for my dollars, I’d absolutely get it on the strap, as I love how it adds to the vintage appeal of the watch. This watch can be purchased from one of Sinn’s authorized dealers and retails for $3,960 on the leather strap, or $4,260 on the bracelet. sinn.de
