While camouflage was originally designed to fade into its surroundings, the new Hublot Spirit of the Big Bang Ceramic Carbon Beige Camo certainly does not blend into the background. This new limited-edition Hublot watch is peppered with a striking black, beige, and gray camouflage pattern, inspired by the beauty of the American desert terrain. Another landscape the Spirit of the Big Bang Camo celebrates is the online luxury retail space, in which Hublot has been front and center since the onset of this decade.
As Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO, explains, “Since 2020, Hublot has provided an unparalleled online luxury experience, ensuring our timepieces are just a click away for enthusiasts across the nation. This digital evolution is not only a testament to the ever-expanding horizons of luxury retail but also a reflection of Hublot’s commitment to blending tradition and innovation.”
Americans are particularly enthusiastic about the convenience and accessibility of online luxury shopping; being able to secure a coveted timepiece by using technology is an enticing proposition for discerning clients. As such, the Hublot Spirit of the Big Bang Ceramic Carbon Beige Camo watch is an e-commerce exclusive, only available for sale at the Hublot U.S. eBoutique.
This Spirit of the Big Bang chronograph watch sports a micro-blasted black ceramic tonneau-shaped case topped with a matte-beige frosted carbon bezel decorated with a camouflage pattern. As is customary with Hublot watches, the bezel is secured with H-shaped screws. What’s more, Hublot, a pioneer in innovative materials and founder of the Art of Fusion concept, opted for satin-finished black-plated titanium crowns and chronograph pushers, all enveloped in black rubber. The ergonomically designed 42mm case measures 14.1mm thick and is water-resistant to 100 meters (330 feet) deep.
The camo motif extends from the bezel to the skeletonized movement, which is visible via the open-worked dial. The dynamic dial is home to a trio of counters: a chronograph minutes counter at 3, a chronograph minutes counter at 6, and the small seconds indicator at 9 o’clock. Accompanying those are a date window at 4:30, a pair of skeletonized hour and minute hands at the center, and the central chronograph hand, complete with an H counterweight.
Driving this new ceramic, carbon, and camouflage Hublot Spirit of the Big Bang is the HUB4700 self-winding skeleton chronograph movement with 50 hours of power reserve. The high-frequency movement operates at 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz).
Owners of the new Hublot Spirit of the Big Bang Ceramic Carbon Beige Camo chronograph will be delighted to know that the piece comes with a pair of straps, which are easy to switch out thanks to Hublot’s innovative one-click interchangeable strap system. The first is a structured black and grey rubber strap that mimics the camouflage design of the case whereas the second is a sporty black Velcro fastener fabric strap. The former is fitted with a black ceramic and black titanium deployant buckle and the latter with a black ceramic sport buckle.
Limited to only 30 pieces and exclusively available at the Hublot U.S. eBoutique, the head-turning Spirit of the Big Bang Ceramic Carbon Beige Camo chronograph watch is priced at $29,100 USD. For more information, please visit the brand’s website.
