Each of the seven watch rolls in the Kross Studio Star Wars Watch Roll Collection uses high-quality vegetal leather construction, reinforced with firm padding and full border stitching. Although all seven models do a solid job in images of distilling these characters down into recognizable visual cues, it’s easy to imagine ways in which these designs could be further embellished for added personality. For example, the Chewbacca variant’s printed bandolier might well have more weight and impact if it were an added embroidered strip in fabric or printed leather, and the black-on-black Darth Vader model could potentially have a more luxe feel if the shaded printing of Vader’s armored shoulder plate was instead represented with padded and quilted leather for more depth. Likewise, the golden hues of the C-3PO model would be a natural playground for metallic or gold leaf-style accents. As these watch rolls are, however, the overall execution appears crisp and clean in initial images.
